Shortcake for Breakfast
â..Huh?â He blurted as his face turned red, what even was this?? Was it some sort of weird confession?? Well.. At the moment he didnât have any plans on dating this stranger but he still couldnât help but to feel embarrassed over the fact that Abel had apparently only come around to the bakery to see him.Â
Ren had to take a moment with this, he never even thought of liking someone or dating anyone for years, not since he had left Rinâs home so long ago.. She was the only person he thought about in a romantic way and that didnât end too well.. He only hurt her due to all of his.. Problems, it was something he definitely did not want to happen again.
After taking a few minutes to calm himself and relax enough not to give a panicked answer, he reached up and scratched at his head a little. âWell..â Another nervous laugh had escaped him.
"Obviously we donât know much about each other other than our names so.." He leaned towards the counter again, motioning for Abel to come over. "Would you like to exchange numbers?"Â
Trading numbers? Abel couldn't even remember the last time he'd done something like that and it was obvious that he was hesitating. Despite his frequent infatuations, he wasn't usually caught so off guard. Things were typically orderly and required so much planning. This Ren kid was throwing him off guard.
Reaching into his coat pocket, Abel took out his phone and unlocked it before stepping toward the counter and offering it toward the other.Â
"Uh... Put your number in and send yourself a message so that you can save me." He glanced around as he waited for the other to be done putting in his contact information.Â
"Don't get the wrong idea or anything... I'm not trying to court you."Â
