First of all Yamaguchi was obviously the one that confessed first because Tsukishima is too much of a bitch and thinks that "He would never look at me like that", he does, you're just too oblivious. Yamaguchi is the one that has the courage in this relationship and he shows it more than once throughout it
Second, Tsukki has his own little love language, he expresses it with hand squeezes, pats in the head, random gifts that he claims "I thought you would like", small acts of physical affection that no one else has the right to, conversations about how his day went and how extra annoying the teenagers visiting the museum seemed today, surprise calls just so they can talk about nothing and things that to other people would seem simple, but Yamaguchi knows better than to think that. When Yams says "I love you" he responds "Love you too" but its very rare the times he's the ones that says it first. Tadashi doesn't mind because he knows how many little "I love you"s Kei sprinkles throughout the day and he makes sure he is able to give all of them back.
Kei's family loves Yamaguchi, he was one of Kei's first (and for some time only) friends and just having this boy around is always a pleasure, when they spoke up about dating no one in either family reacted negatively, barely even reacted surprised to be honest, they were all already family no matter what, having the boys together wouldn't make that any different. Akiteru specially had very strong feelings about this relationship and he expressed all of those with smiles, hugs and many "I knew it! I knew it! You two are so grown up now!" and as soon as he talks about "Being the best man at their wedding" Kei wanted to bury himself in a hole
They both still call eachother by last names, at this point its more of a habit, but they both know exactly when and where they can blunt out a first name just to see the others face go red and make them stumble on their own words
Yamaguchi LOVES romcoms and action movies while Tsukishima is more of a documentary or science fiction type. Whenever they come to a compromise on what to watch, Tsukki always loves seing the little happy surprised face followed by a "Thats so cool!" Yams makes when the documentary comments a random curious fact about the random topic its about, usually its animals, and Tsukki only picks those so he can also say facts about them and have Yamaguchi look at him with eyes that say "God you're the smartest man in the world" he really isn't, not even close, but he likes it anyway
But whenever it's some type of romcom Tadashi always has to stand Tsukki criticizing the main character "JUST GO TALK TO HIM, IT'S THAT SIMPLE" "Not like you would be any different would you Kei-chan?" and Kei gets flustered and blushes, this is something Yamaguchi knows its just for him, these little vulnerable moments and these blushes, he knows for a fact no one else can have this, not like they have it "S-shut up, Yamaguchi" "Sorry, Tsukki" he says while laughing and Yamaguchi knows exactly whats behind those words, he always knew, and the smile plastered on his face makes it clear how happy they make him
