I am in CHARGE of my department. One of our contracters wouldn’t speak to me and demanded to speak to my MALE assistant by saying he’d feel more confident speaking to him.

When I brought this concern to my female office manager, her only response was “yeah I used to get that too. You just sound like a little girl on the phone”.

I’m a 22 year old female with trouble speaking loudly. That’s just how my vocal chords are.

I am basically the supervisor of my department. But they refuse to give me that title because the corporate manager is unapologetically sexist.

The only thing getting me through the rest of this day without crying from rage is The Man by Taylor.
