This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don’t get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can’t do anything, don’t get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it’s ready to come undone. You have to realize it’s going to be a long process and that you’ll work on things slowly, one at a time.

me: i really hate the specific makeup culture that veils itself in feminist rhetoric but at its core is nothing more than a way to convince young girls to spend hundreds of dollars on products they don't need in order to feel comfortable with their own appearance

some man: i wish girls would wear less makeup, they look so much prettier without it :)

me: makeup is a centuries-old art form and one of the only ones that has been primarily historically led by women and to impose your male gaze preference in this way is an insult to the collective female genealogical artistic memory and I Will Not Stand For It
