Hansel is a pixel rpg game made in RPG Maker VX Ace! Similar to Alice Mare and the Crooked Man, it has puzzles and there's lots of exploration involved~ This is the dev blog. Feel free to ask questions!

I use paint tool sai for my pixels (here’s a little tutorial on pixels) and then I just upload all my assets to RPG Maker ^o^

Hello everyone!! Finally after 3 years I’m super proud, excited, and a little nervous to release my first game Hansel! Thank you all of my supporters new and old because without you I may not have been motivated to finish the game at all. Wow I’m actually tearing up a little >u<

The game isn’t scary at all: there aren’t any jumpscares or gory images ^o^ I know my tumblr url says rpghorror in it but this game is definitely not horror anymore.  

Gameplay time: A little over an hour.

Genre: Adventure with puzzle aspects

Hi! Do you know anything about Amare project? She hasn't posted in a while and I just wondered if she was ok and about the game progress (but wellbeing is the priority!). I sent her a few messages but there hasn't been a reply. Thanks in advance, I'm so sorry if I'm being intrusive and I hope she's ok! ^_^

Hey! Oh no don’t worry about it! She’s doing fine haha school’s been pretty hectic so she has been able to work on it as much as she would’ve liked. 

I’m planning on helping her work on the game because I want Amare to come out already too! >o<

Seriously, what the spiral painting does mean?

Haha ok ok the spiral painting wasn’t supposed to be much of anything but I thought I would put a little reference to Uzumaki by Junij Ito there >u<

Does the scathched painting mean something? It's in the Painiting room (the one you open with the paintbrush key). I haven't came up with anything...

Behind the scratches you might be able to make out a figure oooo ^o^ who could that figure be?
