I’m actually a fan of the recut version of Alien 3.  In fact I might even prefer it to Aliens when decided which ones to rewatch.  I recognise Aliens as the sci-fi action extravaganza it is but I like the tone of the third one more.  I think the film feels more menacing and has an intimate tone that returns the xenomorph to a much more terrifying figure.

I also like the look and feel of the film.  All that being said I find a couple of things to enjoy in Alien Resurrection so I’m not exactly the harshest of critics on this franchise!
