So I got outed as an atheist at work and then when I got off I found a cross on my bike. How freaking passive aggressive. Just had to post "Jesus is the reason for the season" for my job's fb.... I seriously need to get out of here. A few more months and I will be free. Don't get me wrong I love my job (most of the time) and I love the holidays but this Jesus shit ruins it. Jesus is literally the worst part of Christmas. The best parts and the true reason for the season are the pagan parts. The ideas of charity and goodwill are completely secular. We don't need some myth of a baby in a barn to make us good people.
I bought a signed copy of Dan Arel's new book and today I nearly had a panic attack when I mixed up my tracking numbers with my dad's birthday gift and thought it got delivered to my parents house. I'm still a few months from being independent enough to face the results of admitting my atheism, (They still hold the title of my vehicle) and if "The Secular Activist" were to appear on their front steps with my name on it... I don't even know what my mother would do but even the thought of it makes my pulse shoot up to dangerous levels
