After the Paul Simon concert, I was crazy excited to hear back from the Xcel Center that they wanted another artist commission! This time around I made books for both James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt!! After I picked my jaw up off of the floor at being given such an opportunity, we went searching for favorite books and themes. As it turns out, James Taylor's favorite book is Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian, and he owns an old wooden sailing boat that he enjoys taking out. For him, I used his favorite book to depict the image of a sailboat :) Bonnie Raitt's favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, so I made the image of a mockingbird in her book. They'll both be performing live tonight at the Xcel Energy Center! Lots of Minnesota Love to them both! (at Minneapolis, Minnesota)

I am so incredibly honored and excited to have been commissioned by the Xcel Energy Center to create an artist gift for the legendary Paul Simon! For this piece they chose an acoustic guitar design done in one of his song books. He currently is on his farewell tour and will be at the Xcel Center tonight!
