I feel like Stories Of Old is never brought up in terms of queer songs because it can be SO explicitly interpreted as a gay person trying to come to terms with their sexuality that conflicts with their religious identity and/or upbringing, but NOBODY mentions it when compiling queer songs (or even just queer Depeche Mode songs) and idk why... is it really just that unpopular of a song?
