Hello my dears ♡

This is my first try at self-shipping (or writing in general) and, to be honest, I'm quite nervous and insecure about it, so please excuse me if I make any mistakes!

I dedicate this blog to my F/O Jervis Tetch (Gotham), since he's had a very special place in my mind and heart for a long time now. Even though I'm aware that he's a very controversial character and I don't condone with every one of his actions, it's in no way diminishing my passion for him.

Since I first saw him, I've been captivated and carried away by him, although my first and most significant memory is the one in which he saved me from myself. I've suffered from panic attacks for years but have never been able to prevent or break out of them, but then Jervis came along. Just as I was about to lose control, suddenly the only thing I could hear was his voice, speaking soothing words to me in his wonderfully soft and calm voice. From that day on, he was always by my side when I needed him the most, whenever I was distressed, stressed or lonely, he gave me comfort and strength.

Over time, the nickname "My Hatter" has developed for Jervis, that's why I've decided to tag every post about us with it.

He would be delighted! And it's just as great to be able to see his beautiful smile the whole time. A smile that almost rivals that of the Cheshire Cat and eyes who are filled to the brim with so much adoration and pride. A silent agree is passed that neither of us prepares to stand up any time soon, not that we wanted to in the first place! ♡

I've many bad days, days that seem so hopeless and desolate that even every breath seems like a challenge to me. But Jervis always seems to know that, almost as if he senses it, sometimes even before I can perceive it myself.

Actually, I've always believed that I'm not worth loving, that there's nothing about me to love, especially in relation to all the problems and challenges. But Jervis sees it differently. In his eyes I'm almost perfect, too pure and kind for this world. In his opinion, I deserve all the love the world has to offer and, although he can't understand why I feel so negatively about myself, he never hesitates for a second to show me how much I mean to him. Oh, if only I could see myself through his eyes. Then I would know how much he values everything about me, the good and the bad, even my weaknesses and problems. Ultimately, all of these things are what make me the person he loves so much. So, how could he hate any of them?

His dearest Lucy, whom he will always protect from everything and everyone, even if it's my own mind.

Jervis knows exactly what makes me nervous, what makes me sad and what draws me further into this infinite darkness. But he knows just as well what brings me back into the light, what brings me back to happiness and comfort. He knows how much I love his wonderfully gentle voice, how much it soothes and grounds me, how happy his adorable smiles and giggles make me; how brilliant and enchanting I find his rhymes and even more than anything else, how content and happy his gentle touches and intense hugs make me. How happy he makes me. That's why I'll never find myself alone in the dark again.
