Kazutora had been in contact with every client and connection he had, yet nothing produced any sort of lead. Sighing, he pulled the phone away from his ear and threw it across the room. It was starting to piss him off how so many people could go missing at once, yet no one had a lead. Damn it, this was getting frustrating.

His phone had rung again, this time with the familiar tone coming from the speakers. Amaris had told him years ago that he needed a specific tone for her, just so that he wouldn’t ignore her calls. Running over to the other side of the room, he slides the green button across the screen and presses it against his ear.

“Please tell me you have a lead?”

Amaris sighs, “Just got off the phone with Willow, she has Keiji so he’s safe. She knows just as much as everyone else does. Have you talked to Hishi?”

“I have and he knows nothing. Doesn’t even have a missing persons case at all, says he hasn’t had one in months.”

The line goes quiet for a few minutes. He can hear her shuffling around with some papers, not sure what exactly she could be looking at.

“What are we going to do?” Her voice was faint. He could hear her trying not to cry. Kazutora knew this was hard on her too, they were her friends just as much as they were to him.

“I don’t know, Amaris. I really don’t know.”
