Hi, what’s a cheerleader? And which ships/characters are you looking fore cheerleaders for? Is there anyone I can dm for more info?

Cheerleaders are there to offer support and encouragement to Writers and/or Artists. Perhaps check they're on track for deadlines, iron out any problems they're having in their writing/art, talk through ideas etc. You can specify if you have a preference for one of the shows and we'll try our best to match you :)

If not, our participants will appreciate any support you can offer - whether you know the show or not!

Another question for you, from a scrub-in newbie: If writing a multichapter, does it have to be *finished* by the deadline, or can we still add to it later?

The storyline has to be finished by the deadline. If you just so happen to go back and "edit" (read: "flesh it out") then who am I to say no? 😅

It's just so everyone has the same info and deadlines to make it fair :) it also helps your partners if you aim to finish the storyline too.

Hi! Thanks for running this! You mentioned that due to the lack of wordcount limit there might be a worse shortage of artists, so I wanted to ask: as a fic writer if we write more than one fic can we opt that it be possible to not have them all receive art (that way it would be easier for all writers to get art for their works?) - A very excited fic writer

That's wonderful and incredibly considerate!

I'm thinking that because it's more likely Writers will do more than 1 fic each this year then I may just automatically prioritise an Artist for 1 fic per person. If we have more Artists then we can go from there! Thanks, I hadn't considered that!

When signing up to be a cheerleader, will we be able to choose the fandom? (It's easier to cheerlead someone when you have an idea what they're doing, like sending links to encouraging photosets of their faves or stuff like that (for which you need to know the show at least a bit))

Sure! If you haven't already signed up, add a note to the last page of your form. If you have already completed the form, then drop us a message so we know who you are :)
