We're a few days late but thank you!

I've been in so many other fandoms where catalogues are staples for many members and I hope that it's the same here.

We're a bit behind but we'll get caught up soon. We're still in the beginning stages and we do appreciate the patience everyone has shown us!

Also promoting fics this way can get us all hyped for season 2 starting to film in September!

Welcome to the Heartstopper Fic Library!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new, up and coming Heartstopper fic catalogue!

Think of this like your local library (or your app Overdrive/Libby) where you can log in, search our library, and find Heartstopper fanfiction written by other fans!

We may be brand new, but we're not a new concept. If you're not familiar, many other fandoms have compiled their own libraries and catalogues to help ease the search process for many fans. Catalogues are made up of convenient tag pages, masterlists, and...you guessed it, a library accessible to all.

You can treat this page as you would any library.

Come in, sip your coffee, tea, or even hot chocolate, and search the "shelves" for your perfect fic. You can even ask a "librarian" if you can't find something you'd like and we'd be more than happy to help.

Since we're new, please bear with us as we get more things set up and ready to go! In the meantime, you can view our FAQ and start looking through what we've started. It's a work in progress so masterlists, tags, and the library will still be worked on every day.

So on the one hand I love this idea because yay for fans building fandom infrastructure for other fans to use, but on the other hand I am sincerely confused as to how searching this library is going to be any more useful than just... searching on AO3. What am I missing?

Hi there!

Simply speaking: not all fics written and produced for heartstopper are posted only on Ao3 and therefore can be a lot harder for people to find and enjoy if they don't know where to look.

Twitter is also a common platform for posting fics, Tumblr as well. However, everyone should know from using either site that their search features are subpar and difficult to navigate if you don't know how to specifically locate something.

Having a universal page is much easier.

In our view, asking that question is like saying "why do we need a public library when I can find the books I want on Amazon?"

Hopefully that clears it all up!

Summary: "And I just feel like maybe I do just ruin people's lives. And it would be better if I didn't exist." Out of all his mistakes, Charlie regrets those words the most. Now he's alone, but more importantly, Nick is alone, and he has no idea how to get back. He wishes for nothing more than to return, but then wishing is what got him into this mess.

"My life is way better because I met you. And I'll keep on saying it until you believe me." Nick doesn't know what happened. One minute, he's falling in love, and the next he's mourning someone who no one remembers. Charlie Spring was the best thing that ever happened to him, and now he needs to get him back.

Summary: Nick is struggling with being bisexual in a world that seems to assume that straight or gay are the only two legitimate options. Call him a romantic, but he's not interested in hook ups and one night stands. He wants a relationship, with someone he can be his whole self with. And his true self is bi, and proud!

Charlie is struggling with trust and control after an abusive relationship in high school shatters his self esteem. His therapist has suggested he needs to find a hobby that pushes at his limits of being in control. Charlie thinks Geoff probably meant joining a band, or maybe rock climbing, and not seducing fit guys, who are way out of his league, for one night stands. Same results though, so what's the harm?
