Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
He needed to stop that, and Mary decides that he is just like a balloon. And just like one, he needs a string tied to his ankles so he wont float away. She’d have to get some later.
“How is that even possible?” She questions, azure hues narrowing slightly. It didn’t seem possible for someone to be in the same subject they were teaching.
The demon noticed her observing his floating, deciding to rest gently on his heels so as to not cause any more attention than needed, running his fingers along his head-spike slowly.
"Well, I am the Earth King," Amaimon explained. "One of the eight princes of Hell. A demon descended directly from Father's loins, even though Father and I don't get along too well. Seeing as how Home and Father are both considered the evils within religion, that would make myself a part of theology."
Hanging Around {Aradia}
Earth King?
Hm, this shouldn’t be much of a surprise. She wasn’t even from this planet, so who knew if there were other—what was the word… species? of ‘people’ here. The other day she could have sworn to see some sort of rabbit-cat thing running around. And she knew that wasn’t what she thought it was.
“Theology, hm? I’m a student here. Aradia Megido.” If he would mention the demon part of himself, she could mention her troll self. “I, myself, am an Alternian, from Alternia of course.” Aradia hesitated for a moment. It was kind of weird, interacting with others besides humans and trolls, but it was…good. A good weird.
“A troll, basically.”
"Ah, a pleasure to meet you, Aradia," Amaimon replied, sliding his hands back into his jacket pockets.
The demon listened to her speak of her home world, becoming a bit confused. There were other worlds besides the one that Father was the ruler of the Underworld for…?
"I'm afraid I've never heard of Alternia, actually. Is that another planet, or universe?" he questioned, biting his thumb in thought.
"I have heard of trolls, though. Usually within this planet, they live under bridges. From my previous experiences, you look nicer and have much better manners than them," he quipped, smiling a bit.
Hanging Around {Aradia}
It was early in the morning and there was nothing to do. Aradia found herself exploring Tancho, especially the upper classes that she wasn’t part of. She had no idea why, but to think, one of these classes, she’d have next year.
Aradia found the glasshouse—or at least, it looked like it could be a glasshouse. She had never seen one before, especially on Alternia.
The reeling.
She felt like she had to go inside—because it had to happen. She was motivated to do most of the things she did by this feeling. She did things simply because she felt as if she had to. The girl opened the door, slowly peeking her head inside. Her eyes scanned the floors, the shelves, everything. There wasn’t much too pleasing, but something inside her told her—made her—continue with her journey. Aradia stepped in, closing the door behind her.
“Hello?”
Aradia glanced around again. No one. Was this person short, or perhaps, a figment of her imagination?
She looked up. Maybe they were up high, to water the hanging plants.
But there were no hanging plants, but really, a hanging person. No, not dead. Alive.
The girl stared up at him. “Hello.” She finally answered. This may have been the event that was supposed to happen. She smiled, a little excited. Meeting a person like this would definitely be fun, wouldn’t it? It’s not every day you come across someone like this. Well, maybe other trolls from time to time, but never a human.
“Do you attend this school?”
What a stupid question, but she didn’t know what else to say. She awaited his reply with a small smile.
Amaimon slowly lowered himself down, looking over the person who had walked over the door. The first thing that he had noticed was her pointy horns, which he himself had in his stronger demon form. Was this person a fellow demon as well?
As the demon finally reached the ground, she had asked him the question of:
“Do you attend this school?”
He tilted his head toward her, licking his lollipop that had been sitting within his cheek previously.
"No, but I teach theology here," he replied back, putting the lollipop back in his mouth and extending a hand slowly to her, smiling warmly. "Amaimon, the Earth King, at your service."
Hanging Around {Mary}
The blonde nods her head up and down vigorously, big grin in place. She sits down in the desk, placing her doll on top of it. The child had no idea what to do now that she was here, having not thought that far ahead. She just didn’t want to sit down and be bored.
“I couldn’t find anything to do, so I decided to come visit! Aren’t you glad? But I am also really bored right now, so we should do something. Teachers do fun things right?”
Amaimon smiled to her as she sat in the desk, watching her place her rather large doll on and desk and hold it. The demon assumed that she valued this doll more than anything else, considering how it was in her possession both times that they had met so far.
"Well, I suppose we do, yes. Generations below us rely on us to educate them and teach them important values and information for the future," Amaimon said with a small shrug. "Did you have a particular thing in mind that we could do?"
Not In True Cross Anymore {Rin}
Rin glared at the demon again. Did Amaimon think he was stupid? It was true Mephisto was leading a group of Exorcists, and that Mephisto was his also related to Amaimon, and therefore RIn, but that did not make them on the same side unless they wanted Satan’s ass kicked!
“Just because Mephisto is on my side doesn’t mean you are! I may not be as bright as Yukio but I’m not that stupid!” the dark haired boy said, glaring.
Amaimon internally rolled his eyes at Rin's ignorance. Not on his side? If he wasn't on his side, Amaimon could have simply killed the boy with his own sword years ago. Besides, what advantage would their be to take a different position than Brother?
"Of course I am on your side, Rin. If I wasn't, do you think I would've given you your sword back?"
Hanging Around {Mary}
As luck would have it, Mary was bored as well. She didn’t need much sleep, and that would explain why she was up so early. With nothing better to do, the blonde got ready for school and left her dorm room when she was finished.
Pack of Pocky in her hand from last night, and her favorite Blue Doll in her other, the tiny blonde began searching around the school for something to do. She didn’t expect this place to be so boring, even before it started. Well, to child with a very short attention span it was. She had complained about this to her precious Doll, her confidant, and got weird looks in the process from the few people that were up. Most of them were teachers, but she didn’t care and still stuck her tongue out at them only to scamper away before they could process what had happened.
As the portrait munched on Pocky stick, boredom blatantly on her face, she remembered who she might be able to bother before school started. After a few minutes of getting lost, asking for directions, and getting lost some more, the freshman finally made it to the theology room.
“Hello?”
Mary jumped slightly at the sudden voice, only to end up looking up and pouting. He was doing that weird floaty thing again and making an even weirder face.
“Hey, I came to visit you!” She shouted while pointing one of her treats at him. “You should be a gentleman and come down because I’m bored!” Wow Mary, that is not how you talk to a teacher, but whatever.
The demon slowly twisted his thumb and index fingers, looking over who had arrived before realizing it was the blonde girl from the night before. The one whom he had given a box of strawberry pocky and explained theology to.
You should be a gentleman and come down because I’m bored!
Amaimon smiled to his previous acquaintance and floated down towards her, sitting on top of a desk just in front of her, his signature lollipop in his mouth.
"Hello, Mary. You came to see me?"
Hanging Around [Intro/Open]
Amaimon was bored.
Unfortunately, this seemed to be a common occurrence to Amaimon. From his life that spanned across for thousands of years, he would say that boredom had taken up at least 2/3 of that life.
For Amaimon, his brother, Mephisto, saved him from a lot of things, such as trouble, prosecution, and even from death. But most recently, his brother had saved him from his dreaded boredom. Mephisto had recommended that Amaimon go and get his degree in something that he found interesting, and try to get a teaching job at a prestigious academy in Japan.
Amaimon figured that the easiest, and yet most interesting degree within a collegiate level would be theology. After all, he himself was one of the 8 Princes of Hell, as well as the Earth King, which made him part of the study of theology. After only a few years, he graduated with a doctoral degree in theology, graduating must faster than his peers due to taking much more classes than was needed per semester. After all, you don't need much sleep as a demon, and Amaimon could move as freely as he liked.
Which brought him to his current position. Upside down, hanging off the edge of a glasshouse, on top of the building where he taught, and looking over his lesson notes for the day. He had arrived early in order to prepare for his class, but it seemed that Tancho Academy's faculty doors opened a bit later than the student's.
Amaimon focused on his notes before hearing a soft creaking sound from the glasshouse's door underneath him. He turned his head slowly and looked for the source of the noise, curling his index and thumb fingers in circles and holding them over his eyes.
"Hello?"
Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
How was he floating like that? Mary wasn’t able to float, not even withing her own created world, and that made her a little upset. But she quickly broke out of that while listening to the explanation of the subject. Though she really didn’t understand the concept of religion, she understood what was just said…maybe.
“I think I understand it a little bit. So you talk a lot about religion right?”
As floating a few inches higher, the green-haired demon rubbed his chin in thought, before smiling and nodding to her.
"Yes, that's the general idea of it. I chose to get my degree in this subject, because... well, I am actually a part of religion, myself."
Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
Brows furrowed slightly, Mary tapped her lips with her Pocky stick in thought.
“What’s theology?” She asked, finally giving up on trying to figure it out herself. “It sounds weird.”
Amaimon smiled to himself, raising his legs and sitting in a cross-legged position, not seeming to realize that randomly floating could make Mary curious, before running a hand along his hair, beginning to explain his field of expertise.
"Theology is the systematic study of religion and it's influences on society. It's general purpose is that it's meant to influence religious discussion between the general population, along with the discussion of the various 'truths' within religion."
Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
The blonde girl grabs the box out of the older male’s hand, bouncing slightly in her excitement. “Thank you!” She exclaims happily, with a bright smile.
It only takes a few seconds for Mary to retrieve one of the strawberry coated treats. She munches away happily at it, enjoying its sweet taste very much. “I really like it!” She admits, once she’s done with the first one and pulls out another. “Mister, what’s your name? Mine’s Mary!”
"Ah, I apologize. I seem to have forgotten my manners."
He bows slowly before raising his head with a smile.
"My name is Amaimon. I am a teacher of Theology here at Tancho."
Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
Expression on her face changes quickly from neutrality, to one of childish wonder at the sight of the treat. Like any normal girl, Mary was discovering that she probably had a sweet tooth.
“Is that Pocky? Can I have one? Does being a connoisseur mean you get lots of candy? Can I be that?”
Amaimon slowly got the rather rectangular box of strawberry pocky from his jacket's outer pocket, opening the flap on the front before handing her the box.
"Here you are. Take as many as you'd like," he says with a light smile, munching on the end of the dampened pocky stick.
Amaimon & Mary's Rad Pocky Adventure
“Really? That wasn’t what I heard, but I like your version better.”
He grins slightly, holding a strawberry stick of pocky between his lips, sucking slightly on the flavored end.
"I am a connoisseur of various candies. I can assure you that my version is the most accurate."
