To whoever loves her next: Her smile. That is what will reel you in first. The way her lips gently tug at the corners of her mouth will drive you wild. You’ll do anything to see it again. The best way to keep a smile on her face is by telling her stories. Tell them until you run out of breath, until you have nothing left to share, until you have to scrape at the corners of your mind for something, anything, that will crack a smile on her face. Mocking your accent will become her favorite pastime. As you tell her the silliest of stories, she’ll echo phrases she finds cute in attempts to get you to say it again. Do it, because when she giggles you’ll think about how much you want to hear it for the rest of your life. She knows just how awkward you are and she’ll ask you to explain things or repeat them just to fluster you. Don’t worry, she only does it because she thinks it’s absolutely adorable when you stumble over words and go red in the cheeks.  Phone calls with her are pure heroin. You’ll want more and more, and every time you hang up you’ll feel your chest collapsing in.  When she calls you in the middle of the night as she lay on the bathroom floor at a party, make sure you pick up. She called because she wishes you were there, so promise her one day you will be. Depression plagues her and she’ll leave it up to you to sense the sadness she hides. She won’t tell you if she’s numb or falling apart, but make sure you pry it out of her and then do everything you can to ease the pain. Alcohol is her favorite painkiller, and she’ll dance the night away if it meant she might not suffer for a little while. Let her, because one day if you’re lucky you’ll be dancing with her. Her biggest fear is not feeling enough. When she tells you that, your mind will flood with everything her and her big heart have given you - all of the late night phone calls, every ‘I love you’, every promise of a future together - and it’ll blow your mind how she could ever doubt herself. When you have an anxiety attack, make sure you tell her because she will do everything in her power to ease your mind. In that moment, you’ll realize you want to spend the rest of your life with her. You’ll realize how much she loves you, and how much pain she endured to stay by your side while you were too busy second guessing. Most importantly, don’t you dare take her for granted. She’s not someone you meet every day. Her compassion and selflessness are one in a million. Being with her is like winning the lottery, and if you’re so lucky you get the chance to know her, don’t ever let her go. Care for her, tell her how gorgeous she is, give her everything you have - you only have one chance to get it right. So to whoever is by her side instead of me, love her with everything you have, because she is worth all the love in the world and more.
