“Why does everyone use swords and why do they seem so cool?”
magicalmachine6:
“Shit.”
All right, this was fine… she could slip past. She carefully observes the scene from above, waiting for her target to move forward into the next room… then she takes a hand off the wall, aiming for a shelf on the far side of the gate room. A quick tug of the metal shelf sends some of its contents to the floor with a loud clatter.
“C’mon, take the bait…”
The woman at the gate paused, glancing to the fallen contents with a grumble. They turned their back on the gate, beginning toward the shelf to put the contents back onto the shelf.
“Damn girl.. can’t knock everything over when she walks in..”
magicalmachine6:
“…that’s not a door.”
Okay, time to make a call. Dumb, reckless decision… or she loses the target entirely. She’d only have one shot at the timing… waiting until the last moment, Six lets Soann’s platform descend as the ‘door’ begins to shut, then dashes forward, far quicker than a human could… and with a quick slide, slips into the mostly-shut entrance, latching herself to the wall silently with magnetic power.
The door seals tight behind her, leaving only one way to go… down, after this stranger. Rebuilding a whole hill as an entrance like this… what had she stuck her nose into, here…? She carefully begins to climb the wall down, careful to maintain her silence as she tails the green woman into the facility.
“Mahna Mahna..”
Soann sung, stretching as the platform continued downward before coming to a halt in front of a gate, which was raised to allow the green woman inside. It seemed like they had quite a few checkpoints before getting into the facility itself, given that she now seems to be talking to someone right out the gate.
“Oh, hey, Pon. Guarding a wall today? Must be great fun.” The grunt that immediately followed showed that her snark likely didn’t go over very well.
Authentic medieval banter from Lance O’Casey #3, 1943.
swcrdswcman:
do u have a cool sword huh
ur move space girl
swcrdswcman:
AT LEAST I’M MY OWN PERSON
...least I get free donuts.
magicalmachine6:
“Pfft.”
“C’mon, open sesame…”
She was getting impatient… but from the looks of it, security was too high to be reckless. If she showed herself now, that gate wasn’t gonna open. Hell, they barely seemed to be willing to let one of their own in should their ‘rules’ be violated. All she’d have to do is wait, then disable the gate once it opened… simple.
“Fine, I’ll get the eggs tomorrow, just.. open the door.”
After this, the entire hill lurches, descending into the earth with a loud metallic groan. It was quite the ‘door’, though the green woman simply leaped into the hole created for her-- which was further shown to be rather pointless since a platform caught her before beginning downward with her.
swcrdswcman:
JUST BC U HAVE HIS BLOOD DON’T MEAN SHIT
AT LEAST I’M HERE
JOKE’S ON YOU, NOBODY LIKES ME ANYWAY!
magicalmachine6:
The child lands quietly, maintaining her distance but catching sight of the stranger. She’d stopped moving. Had they arrived…??? It was just a hill… unless there was something else hidden?
“…”
She keeps her eyes on the green woman, watching for whatever she plans to do…
“Just open the damn-- no, I forgot to get the damn eggs, you can buy it tomorrow. Door, c’mon..”
Whatever she’s planning to do, it seems some outside force is leaving it rather difficult, pacing in front of the hill and talking into the cellphone in her hand-- well, less talking and more arguing into it.
“Dang, not-me’s sister, how come you get two dicks?”
magicalmachine6:
Six watches her take off, letting her get a bit of distance… then she throws her cloak back on, keeping out of sight and tracking the strange woman through her ki.
“Now let’s see what you have to hide, Greenie…”
Soann hummed, continuing onward now as she didn’t notice anyone. Damn kid had made her later than usual. She landed beside a hill, pulling a phone from her pocket while she did.
“Ya gonna... open the door or just leave me standing out here? I don’t care that I’m late, Cien. Lemme in. No, don’t tell Anes. She doesn’t need to know I’m late.”
swcshbuckler:
How did anyone manage to find him? He didn’t think humans to be too smart to find him in an unreachable place, but the moment he turns around, he’s completely frozen in place.
He doesn’t move or speak, but his discomfort is slowly increasing as he takes in her sight, seeing her ALIVE and moving. He feels nauseated at the sight and he swears he can feel himself about to faint.
“….what do you want from me.”
“I just... wanted to see you..”
She was.. nervous? Scared. Scared was certainly more appropriate. Soann always wanted to meet him, but now that she has she’s too scared to come up with the proper words. He seemed.. uncomfortable.
“So.. uh.. nice.. weather we’re having?”
magicalmachine6:
“Don’t underestimate me, lady.”
Well, that ruled out the prisoner idea. And, frankly, the threat ticked her off. Though… she had an idea… after all, her ki was completely untraceable. Greenie wouldn’t know if she was being followed…
“Fine, whatever, get outta here. But if I find out you hurt anyone innocent, I’m comin’ after you.”
“I said had to. Not could.”
“But fine. Won’t be hearing from me again, kiddo.”
She shrugs, beginning to hover for a moment, green aura surrounding her as she flew away. Soann suspects she might be followed given how.. heroic the kid was acting. She did a whole spiel and everything, so she occasionally paused to glance behind her on the way.
magicalmachine6:
“…they?”
That was a little closer to the point… was she a prisoner of the crew? No, they don’t worry about being secretive… so who…? She needed to know more, but without endangering this girl…
“Well, that at least tells me you were full of it from the get-go.”
“…I won’t ask what you are, then… but… you clearly don’t wanna go back anytime soon. Right?”
“Well, I kind of have to go back but.. I kiiind of have to soon.”
“It’s more that I actually would have to kill you if I told you who I actually was so... not gonna tell ya.”
Well, she wasn’t lying, at least. Nobody could know who she actually was so she couldn’t exactly let word spread around. Sure, sightings are fine, but knowing the actual identity was something else entirely.
swcshbuckler:
He’s still not quite over it, even if it had been awhile. Everything, everything was overwhelming. Waking up only to discover he had been dead for a little over a year, to find stitches and missing parts of him from experiments, to waking up to find his entire crew dead.
Discovering her.
He shudders at the thought, a finger tracing one of the stitches just underneath one of his pectorals, a wince and then a frown. He doesn’t want to know what the hell they did to him, but it was just like those humans to be interested in extra terrestrial life. He scoffs.
“Damn idiots..”
She landed with an audible tap against the ground, drumming her fingers against her thigh as she pondered how to even confront him. This man was probably the one they cloned her from.. well, maybe. He seemed a lot darker than she had expected him to be. She stared at his back for a moment before simply going,
“..hello?”
magicalmachine6:
Six stares for a moment, baffled. What in the world was she talking about? Why wasn’t she even in a fighting stance…? Did she really think she could talk her way out…!?! Or… was there something else going on…? Six points her staff at the green woman, aiming to threaten the truth out of her.
“One more chance! Who are you!?!”
Aaaaah, crapbaskets.
“I.. uh.. can’t tell you. Literally. They’d have my hide.”
She wasn’t lying, of course. She’d only just been allowed the freedom of getting to go out of the labs and she wasn’t about to have some random girl ruin it all just because she was being confrontational.
