Welcome to Death at a Low Price!
Death at a Low Price, or DaaLP v.3, is a rebooted version of the old Death at a Low Price, taking up residence in the corpse of the tumblr blog of the old Death at a Low Price. The original show ran from around 2016 to 2019, produced by the Herbarium Podcasting network along with several other shows, but sadly was put on indefinite hiatus due to troubles with cast & crew ability to dedicate time.
DaaLP v. 3, like other versions, follows the employees of SlotSpot (an inter-dimensional convenience store) as they struggle to annoy their new overseer into either quitting or getting fired. Unfortunately for them, when strange things start happening around the store, it becomes clear that they may actually have to work with him instead if they want to keep everything in one piece.
Currently, DaaLP v. 3 is inviting former cast & crew to come back if they like, as well as inviting any interested parties who want to be a part of the production (voice acting, audio editing, music, etc) to contact the head of the production at [email protected]. Official auditions for parts and the like will be opened later in the development process.

Ah, thank you! I appreciate it; its nice to know people are still enjoying it after all this time.
Hoping sometime this year to actually buckle down and revamp some shows around here, now that my life has calmed down. Not sure if there's interest for it since its been so long, but I truly miss producing this stuff!

Tapetum Lucidum Podcast
Tapetum Lucidum is a fictional podcast currently in the writing stage of production. Based in Providence, a tourist town on the coast of Maine, it follows a cast of strangers as they navigate through the various weird happenings in the town and deal with the odd dreams that seem to be haunting them.
Progress for Tapetum Lucidum can be followed on its blog, @tapetum-lucidum. The ask box is open for any questions or comments of any kind. Casting calls will open when the writing stage draws to a close.
Alright, more serious post. Hi everyone! Ollie here. It’s been a moment, hasn’t it? I mean, wow. Literally years, I believe. But, during that time, I managed to meet an amazing group of creative people and have the opportunity to start making stories with them. And at some point, of course, they held me at gunpoint and told me we were going to make a podcast based off our tabletop game.
Not really. I agreed readily, and I’m not just saying that because they now have access to this blog (hi, guys). So, this is the big project- the come back. But we’ll get back to that later. For now, the blog is updating, the descriptions getting polished, and the ask box has been opened.
Happy to be back and excited to share some new work with everybody!

Don't feel obligated to answer, but I just recently found these podcasts and I'd like to ask what's happening now?

So, basically a few things happened with the previous podcasts. The main thing was that I, the writer/audio editor, had some personal issues that happened all at once that impacted my ability to write those specific stories. I also had some issues with voice actors either dropping out or not getting their lines in (which happens! This is a network with no money, so everything is volunteer). Those are currently on hiatus until I feel mentally well enough to return to them.Â
I’m hoping that’s soon! I had a lot of plans and love for them. First, though, I’m working on a new project that I’m hoping is going to help me...cleanse, I guess? And really get back into the groove of things. I haven’t announced anything just because it has been a bit since we’ve put anything out and I didn’t want to jump the gun on it, but its well enough into being planned and written that I’m pretty sure I’ll be making calls for it soon, just to see what happens.
Other than that, if you have any other questions, whether its about the new show, about the old shows, or just in general, feel free to toss them to me!

I just checked the blog and apparently my post didn’t actually post, so that delightful. Sorry about that! I’ll try to get them up (again) today, when I reach my laptop, and hopefully my connection to the web is less spotty so it actually posts.

Do you have to be out as trans/nb/genderqueer to audition for Cherry/Razvan?
No, you don’t! Any information like that- your gender identity, as well as ethnicity/race and your given name (if you have one you prefer more) -is given to us only if you feel comfortable, and even then, we keep it private if you want us to! We do allow people who don’t match up with the gender of characters to audition for them as well, but please be aware that those who do will be considered above others, due to representation purposes.

There is going to be another opening for a VA for Razvan, a male(can be trans, nb, or cis) DaaLP character, probably sometime today!
The rest are closed, other than Cherry from Eyeris. We’re still checking in with VAs, so thats subject to change.

You may have noticed the lack of content from the network as a whole, and that’s due to some personal things within the life of one of the writers/editors, as well as a few voice actor problems. The latter is what this audition sheet is for! This sheet contains roles that we are currently looking to fill, from various shows.
