Jesus loves His capybara. :)
It's been awhile (because life was doing what it does best), but I'm glad to be back.

Jesus loves His capybara. :)
It's been awhile (because life was doing what it does best), but I'm glad to be back.
Revisiting this piece I did last year (left) to put a bit of effort and detail into Isaiah & Teresa since I've learned and improved a lot more this year (right).
Finally, a portrait of Jesus. 💚
It's wild that I don't have the most consistent portrayal of his looks over the years, but I did try to make him look similar to an older artwork I've done of his mother, Mary at least. Perhaps I'll redraw her (and also Joseph) soon.
Guiscard, a gargoyle who also is a part of the angelic crew as a defender of the church. He's been through some different designs, and this one may not be the last phase of that development.
The angels call him the baby of the group. 🤭
Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord’s house and said to all the people: “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Behold, I am about to bring on this city and all its towns the entire calamity that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to heed My words.’
Jeremiah 19:14-15
This is the chapter where the clay pot is featured as a metaphor for Jerusalem and its people more so at the beginning of the chapter to lead up to its conclusion here.
Recently, I've been reading from Jeremiah, and I find the parallels of what I see in that book too uncanny to how we treat people and God these days and for a long time. Personal righteousness and social justice go hand in hand.
Angel Michael. I had to think a little harder for the details on this one compared to a former design I had before. I'm satisfied with this for now, though.
Angel Remiel
Perhaps whenever I refine her design later, I'd like the idea of making her eyes even more starry.
Angel Uriel
Angel Jophiel
The angel Tzadkiel. I don't know why this attempt seemed harder to do when I've drawn this character a lot on paper than the other angels I've drawn, but perhaps it's just the inner perfectionist meddling with me.
The angel Raziel, who knows a lot of secrets, but probably would say nothing until the time is right.
Fuzuki: Isn't Seijyuro's violin playing music to your ears?
Moe: More like chaos.
A child Jesus with a lamb. <3
The angel Remiel praying, which I drew during Lent this year.
“Praise the Lord, you his angels; you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.” – Psalm 103:20
The angel Gabriel.
Merman Leviticus looking for a special gift for a special someone.
A more painterly sort of take of the angel Raphael. It's a bit different than what I'm used to, but I enjoyed taking on this sort of technique.
