Hermione Granger, Post war independent RP account.
Recently engaged to Ron Weasley
We all tried to pick up the pieces and move on after the war, it hasn't always been easy but we're getting there.
Hermione went back to Hogwarts to finish her education and is now working at the ministry in the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. She would like to explore her options and maybe transfer to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement one day.
Ever since that first kiss in the Room of Requirement, she's been in a relationship with Ron and they're very happy together.
[[I will RP with any HP character, but please note that the mun is a MAJOR Romione shipper so I will never RP her as a part of any other ship.
tag your post hermionegranger1909 if you'd like to start a para/chatpost
Please note that I am not very good at crossovers as I'm not part of any other of the major fandoms on tumblr, so if your muse is not a HP character, I'm just not sure we'd be a good match, sorry! ]]
You know you're the first person to come into my inbox to ask me this since my last post about 3 weeks ago? Most just unfollowed me. (to be fair, i have no idea when you sent this message, this is the first time I checked here in 2 weeks) Sort of confirmed to me that no one gives a crap wether I'm here or not. That, plus I 100% lost my muse because of various reasons.Â
I've been on break too long, reading my dash, gotta head out, don't kill people, im pretty sure everyone that's still up has already seen the sunrise so GO TO BED! Ill be on tonight! Xoxo
"If weâd forget about it, Iâd still hold a tiny bit of hope you might change your mind about me someday." He reminded her, at last calming down and regaining some of his confidence. If he truly, truly loved Hermione - and he did - he was ought to be happy for her that she found someone who returned her feelings, right? Even if it was that stupid arse of a Ronald Weasley.
Cormac remained silent for a while, then cleared his throat somewhat awkwardly. âHermione, Iâll survive with just being friends. Itâs not like I canât restrain myself or something - I promise I wonât harm you in any way.â He flashed a small and for his usual behavior unsure smile to her.
Hermione stuffed her hands deep inside the pockets of her jacket, not knowing what else to do at his words How was someone supposed to respond to something like that?
When they had been in school, heâd still gone after her, knowing she was in love with Ron, foolishly believing that maybe sheâd grow out of it. But now theyâd both grown up and while heâd been a little⊠agressive at first, she didnât truly believe that he would harm her in any way. The fact that he felt the need to tell her that, caused her eyes to widen and she shook her head. "I know that, Cormac" she smiled weakly at him before retreating back to silence.
She was right, of course. She was always right. Though he usually went against people even if they were right, he didnât now. He felt horrible, his chest was aching and his eyes were itchy. Not to mention he felt terribly guilty for shouting like that at her.
"I know.. Iâve always known, I mean.. Everyone knew. Canât blame me for trying." He gave a weak shrug, forcing a smile upon his lips. Donât show it, donât show your pain, itâll only drive her away from you. And if friends was all that they could achieve.. Heâd just have to get accustomed to that.
"Thank you, for being honest. Better late than never, I guess. And.. Iâm sorry, for raging at you. You donât deserve that." He sighed again, sliding his hands in his pockets and finally daring to look at her again.Â
She nodded, he wasn't the first who'd said they knew she and Ron would get together. How they'd seen that in her sixth year was a mystery to her, but she didn't like to dwell on it much. That year had not been a lot of fun for her, and she really did feel bad Cormac had gotten caught up in it, but there was nothing she could do about it anymore now except apologize, which she had done.Â
She wasn't sure where to go from here, standing across from each other in the street on the Muggle side of the Leaky Cauldron. If Ron had been home, she wouldn't have given it a single thought, and said her goodbyes to Cormac before apparating home. But he wasn't, he wasn't going to be home for a week, which is why she'd been at the Leaky to begin with.Â
"Can we just forget this whole thing happened?" she asked, hoping that if they'd pretended they never got in that fight, that he'd never told her about his feelings for her, that she didn't have to tell Ron when he came back from his mission.Â
"Then in Merlinâs name, why didnât you just straight out tell me? How hard is that, to just say âSorry but Iâm not interested, I already like someone elseâ?" It would have saved him a lot of pain and he wasnât even sure why he was still walking out of the bar, after her.
He didnât even say anything about the comment of the flirting. No, he didnât expect that. But with her, it hadnât been just flirting. It was only he did not know how to otherwise express his feelings without making a giant blushing stammering fool out of himself.
"I.. I do want to be friends with you, I like you far too much to just.. leave you. Itâs just.. It takes time, allright? A bloody lot of it." At last his voice returned to normal, if not a tad strangled.Â
"When you confronted me, I told you I was sorry and I thought that was the end of it. After that, I thought you were trying to be my friend, I was lonely! I wasn't going to turn away someone who was trying to be there for me." She ran a hand through her hair and pulled her jacket on to protect herself from the chilly wind that was currently blowing through the street.Â
"As far as I'm aware, I never gave you any indication that I was looking for something more, not after Slughorn's party at least. I'm sorry it didn't go as you'd hoped, but these things happen. We had a horrible date, most people just cut their losses and move on."Â
She crossed her arms over her chest and tilted her head slightly backwards to look at him, furrowing her brow at his suggestion of friendship. If she was honest with herself, she really didn't know if that would work, not after what had just happened, what he had just told her.Â
"I need you to understand that it's never going to go past that, Cormac. I'm truly happy with him, and I don't mean to hurt you, I just don't want you to go in with unrealistic expectations."
"Not fair? Honestly, youâre going to talk about fair? Thatâs a cheap shot, donât you think? Because youâve never treated me fair! Never! I know I have been very forward with you and I know that wasnât the way to your heart, but you never even gave me a fair chance! You just.. You pretended to.â He sounded more exhausted and defeated with the minute, throwing a few coins on the table. âKeep the rest.â He told the waitress, then turned to Hermione again.
"Like I donât know anything about you? Hermione, I was head over heels with you, I think I know pretty much about you. It wasnât just a crush for me." He fell back into pain again, scared that if heâd shout more heâd screw up everything. Not that he already hadnât but getting things even worse wasnât something he looked forward to.
He let out a sigh, biting down on his lip hard because he could feel himself tear up. Confidence shattered as glass as his shoulders dropped and he inclined his head. âIâm sorry, I just..â I just wished I would have a clear shot to make things up. To apologize properly. To show that I truly do love you, but showed it in the wrong way..Â
"I would have never been able to give you a fair chance Cormac, because I had feelings for Ron! I'm sorry you got hurt, but if you expect everyone you flirt with to return your feelings, you're crazy! I was foolish enough to believe maybe  you wanted friendship after you knew about Ron, clearly I was wrong!"
She grabbed her purse, counting out the change for her drinks and adding a sizable tip for the inconvenience they had caused before turning on her heel and leaving the bar, knowing Cormac would follow her, like he had done so many times before during their time at Hogwarts.
"I never once gave you any indication that I was interested in anything beyond friendship, not after the christmas party, not after you knew."
