Hi all! I'm going to put a pause on headcanons that involve Iskall or Stress for a little while. I need some time to think about the information that has been made public before I decide how to proceed.

With the information that has been made public since I posted this, I have decided that I'm not comfortable accepting submissions or writing posts that involve Iskall. Previous posts that mention him will stay up, but no more will be created.

Posts about Stress will continue the same as any other former Hermit.

impulse is a flip. the only issue is he refuses to admit it, he always feels so guilty for regressing he won't even admit to doing it. after all, he's the strong, responsible, dependable cg. he's always supposed to be big. so he regresses as infrequently as possible and alone (no matter how much he wants someone to take care of him)

this all comes to a head, when tango finds him regressed, panicked, alone, and obviously in need of some love and care giving. all of this will be discussed when impulse is big, but for now tango's got to show a tiny impy the care he deserves.

When Scar is little it is practically IMPOSSIBLE for someone that get him to wear "real clothes" (too uncomfortable, no matter what fabric there's issues. The way it stretches or doesn't, the way it bunches, it's awful).

The only thing he tolerates when little is skirts and his brown jacket. Skirts don't bunch around the knees like pants do and they don't rub like shorts do, but they do comfortably cover things. And his jacket is just comfy, it's fluffy on the inside and he can clip a soother to the zipper tab! No shirts though.

this isn't an ask or a request, but I hope you could still post it, because since I found this account the wave of love for this fandom crushed me yet again

not to disclose who I am too much, but here's a fact: I was dealing with pre schoolers as a part of my education(or, well, practice). around the same time I discovered the wonderful world of hermitcraft age regress fics. I myself don't regress, but I find those works insanely comforting. anyways I mentioned my education because, while in fics the looking after might be Way to soft and all-allowing (that YES can be very bad even short term), most of the works show it really well. and not just comforting, but as if the authors know Very Well they are portraying not a parent figure per say, but a "cool uncle that looks after you" type character and I LOVE IT. maybe this says smth about my childhood, maybe it's the overwhelming feeling of love coming from a friendship, but still. kudos to everyone who writes age re in this fandom, I love you.

I still haven't explored the topic of age regression as a study (meaning: I haven't really looked up the real world instances), but I have a feeling that learning about this phenomena in psychology feelings-first from a fictional work was a good idea.

Your ask has actually reminded me why I love this blog. I've been a bit out of touch with the fandom lately, but the sense of community that comes from gathering around something so niche is really nice and I love hearing about it.

I'm glad this type of content can be comforting and enjoyable even if you don't regress!

Also, when I originally had the idea to start this blog, there was very little agere-related content in this fandom that didn't emphasize a parental, set-in-stone caregiver as a key feature. I'm happy to see so much more variety in how people portray it in relation to friends and partners.

#Anonymous #also i appreciate that theres less emphasis on a carer as someone who has all the same authority as an actual parent #im sure theres still works like that (i havent actually been on ao3 in ages)#but i always found it hard to enjoy that type of content because it was an automatic assumed thing in most instances #that the carer would be a parent with full authority over the regressed person #without much (or any) discussion.#for me at least being treated like that while in that state would not be good for me #so having that be presented as the default made it difficult to read.#this is also why a lot of my posts center around friends just being patient and comforting and hanging out/playing instead of having a #distinct carer #and the ones that do feature a carer rarely have a parental vibe.#when i write about interactions between a regressed character and an adult-mode character i usually try to think of like #what type of boundaries they wouldve set with each other. and how that relates to the regressed characters individual feelings #since some people find it helpful to have someone act like a babysitter would. but others just prefer for their friends to hang out normall #of course fanfiction doesnt always need to be real world accurate and can just be someones 'man i wish someone would take care of e' fantas #(a lot of my unpublished stuff lately is just like... characters being far too accommodating of the pov character's problems lol)#but i like to include variety #wow i rambled a lot more than i meant to #not a headcanon #oli says things

xB was actually raised in the ocean. since he is a hybrid, he could go on land no problem, but there was simply no need in his first few years. as he grew older he did start to go on land, but it did coincide with pretty harsh things happening at his home monument, leading to The most traumatic event, where his monument was destroyed and he was left to wonder around the world and even hopping other servers (maybe trying to find something? clinging to the idea that some of his family escaped? it's a little sad to think that his family would've left him, but it's much more sad to think they didn't survive at all)

anyways, his most happy years and the childhood is heavily associated with being under water, and when he occasionally regresses, he always finds his way to the ocean and just swims through kelp and corals. it's actually quite hard for him to walk in his regressed state, even if he regresses to the age where a human baby could already walk, but he always finds his way to the water. it causes the hermits that usually look after him Much distress, but they try to keep up with a little very-quickly-swimming-away xb as much as they can.

little impy has a demon-shaped weighted plushie. skizz gave it to him and it's name is dippy (like skizz's nickname for impulse. dippledop). one time he was playin with it and it got ripped and he was really sad abt it so skizz tried his best to sew it back together but it didn't look super neat, so he tied a little golden bow around the part that was ripped! impulse will treasure it forever <3

Little Impulse still likes playing scary games with friends. Somehow, he's even less scared while regressed. He thinks the monsters and his friends shrieking are all very silly. Poor Skizz follows him around the whole game trying to make sure he's ok and all he gets for his trouble is being laughed at. (He doesn't really mind as long as little Impy is happy)

ZITS surprisingly can't stay regressed around each other for long.

Their banter always accidentally brings adulthood back to the surface, which is frustrating for all of them because they keep trying to have playdates.

The best solution they've found is to have one of them stay big and babysit because it gives their rascal energy a focus.

Doc once regressed and followed a bunch of creepers to their den. They were initially wary of him, but lil Doc has more creeper mannerisms than adult Doc, so they decided to adopt him.

They licked off the nasty player smell and snuggled him. It was all very fluffy and wonderful until Doc woke up big, surrounded by creepers and suddenly less confident about convincing them he isn't a threat.

EX and Scar both age regress independently to cope with their own disabilities. Eventually they learned of the other doing it and bonded over it.
