“You know, in my day, I had a professor who would give us an assignment the week of the carnival. We had to pick a ride and figure out its principal functions and equations.” Eric looked around at the carnival, there were still some engineering students taking notes. “Now they just have to render it on the computer and do some vanilla math.” He shook his head, “I’m telling you, engineering professors are getting soft.”

After going around the carnival, Charlotte finally thought it was safe to go back to the kissing booth. Her stuff was still there and there was no possible way that it was time for her shift. She even knows when her next shift was, hopefully, it had passed. “Hows the booth been?” She asked as she walked into the tent with all the other kissers lined up.

Milena had been enjoying the festivities so far, but she had been ditched by her friends who had all managed to find valentines for the night. She sighed a little, before glancing around briefly to catch sight of someone who looked like they needed the company. “Hey you.” she began, “Wanna ride the ferris wheel with me?” she asked, shrugging a little, “The views incredible up there apparently.”
Charlotte had been chowing down on a hotdog, or four. She was doing almost anything to make her coaches see that she was in no shape to do a second shift at the kissing booth. “Hi.” She threw the excess hotdog bun in the nearest trash. “I’ll take a ride.” The women looked familiar, Charlotte couldn’t exactly place her finger on it though. “Anything to not do a second shift at the kissing booth.”
Charlotte straight-up thought the kissing booth was a dumb idea, she didn’t want to kiss these people- some of them were musty as fuck and she turned away all the guys who came into her line. Her coaches kept trying to remind her that it didn't matter who she was kissing because it was for charity. Charlotte was under any circumstances going to be kissing boys who didn’t know what chapstick was. “I’m so dumb with this kissing booth crap.” She sighed as her shift ended. “I straight up will donate to every charity if it gets me out of my second shift.” Charlotte took a big sip of water, trying to gargle the kisses out of her mouth.

The only desk she’d gotten in the library had been the one that was directly opposite the books she actually needed, irritating enough in itself but upon walking back to the desk, she had been flicking though the book and gotten involved in a chapter. Coming to a slow halt, she found herself leaning against a shelf, not even sure which aisle she had landed in. Hearing a voice, she glanced up and chuckled it a little, “Oh snap, you mean this isn’t the history aisle? That sucks…” she replied sarcastically, before her lips tugged upwards in a smile, holding up the book as an excuse, “I don’t do well with reading and walking and paused, my bad. I wasn’t aware it was a.. no loitering zone… wait, sex row? Am I giving off a waiting for sex vibe? Damnit, I thought this was my waiting for someone to buy me food sweater.”
Eric nodded, pretending to listen. he didn’t really care if people were deep into the library aisles or not, he just wanted to be able to find his book in peace. “You’re giving off a lot of waiting for sex vibes.” His head turned as he saw the title of the textbook he needed in his peripheral vision. “And if it’s any conscolation- I don’t think it’s the sweater.”
It wasn’t often that Eric was in the fashion building, in fact he was never in the fashion building. In all his years at northridge he had never stepped foot into the building, it was much different than the engineering, bio and chem buildings he was so used to. “Hey, do you know where I’d find the fashion design office?” He didn’t think it existed, Eric had been walking up and down the hallways trying to find it.

Eric was always more of a homebody, he thought that once he had gotten his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering he was going to go and live in some big city and be a developer of some kind. Life just didn’t work out like that, and honestly, it wasn’t that big of a deal for him. Working towards his second Ph.D. was a lot but it was going to be worth it eventually. Eric was in the library, trying to find a textbook that helped a point he was trying to make. He turned the corner, “You waiting for someone? I thought the sex row was on the other side of the library by the history books.”

Elliot knew that going to the same school as Ezra that they would run into each other, she did not think that it was going to this often. He was a music major for crying out loud, why was he in the engineering building? Elliot loved her brother, but there was no way he was smart enough to understand anything going on in this building. “Why are you here?” She approached him as she walked out of the classroom, calc three book in hand and ready to swing at him.

Emaline didn’t liked to be stuck in rooms. She lived something when she was a child and actually didn’t liked to be alone or sharing a room with someone. Even though it was against their will, she felt like something or someone wanted to hurt her in a way. A sigh left her lips as she looks through the window and looked away. “It was supposed to be a sunny day, why does it have to end with a fucking storm?” She asked out loud as she tried to think about something else as she took her book and sit down near the windom to see if the weather could calm down.
Charlotte threw her muscle ball up and down, just keeping herself busy. She looked at Emaline as they complained, not stopping her repeated throwing motion. “Sometimes that’s just the weather,” She shrugged, the only reason to be upset over weather would be because then the outdoor soccer fields flood, but soccer was on turf this week. “We needed some rain anyway, plus it’s not like it’s gonna rain forever. The sun’s gonna come back out.”

He’s the oldest in his family- he has 2 younger sisters and a younger brother
Was very protective of his younger siblings growing up even though he didn’t need to be

He’s been nurtured all his life and nothing should’ve made him a gross alpha male but during his time in college he was one
Having lesbian legends as parents, they were not down for this alpha male bullshit. His moms tried to shut it down, get him to see that he was being a real mf dick.
He didn’t listen and he didn’t want to listen. Eric was so set in his own ways that he didn’t care.
His moms loved him and wanted to support him, but he was just being such an asshole that they couldn’t. Once he got his first bachelors degree he was cut off financially. To him, love was measured in money and that’s why he was a business major- he was very caught up in greed that way.
Being away from his family didn’t last too long. He worked at some corporate place, and got very unhappy, he was making money, he was able to live his own life but fuck was he unhappy. B
Returning to his parents was a humbling experience for him, they welcomed him back immediately and honestly they were all impressed that he had lasted that long without them. It comes up every year at thanksgiving to break the tension of whatever else is brought to the table.
He spent a year literally not knowing what to do with his life. He lived at home, went to work and tried to figure out what he really wanted to do but couldn’t. His mom, pre-school teacher mom, got tired of it and told him to just go back to school. So he did. Eric found that he just loved learning, he was good at learning. He’s in the biochem doctoral program, and this is his 2nd phd.

“No.” Charlotte did not even try to laugh along with the boy to be polite. She had already stated her option, and he had obviously heard it. “What kind of coffee are you having that your beans are made from literal shit? Do you know how coffee beans are made?” Charlotte loved coffee and all it stood for.

“I think the coffee world has too many options.” Charlotte knew that there was a handful that was more popular than others, but it still was too many options. “I went to this bagel place and they let you build your own drink- some of the fucking syrups were crazy. There was an oranges, key lime pie, and other shit. It’s all just too much. Coffee on its own is so good.
