Cooking With Christie: Onion Rings

Recipe: We found the recipe here!

So we started with doing onion rings…then battered mushrooms, carrots and bell pepper slices - with varying success. But the onion rings were good! The key is to place them on a cooling rack above a jellyroll pan to cool - so any excess oil will drain off and not soak into the breading!

Christie: Perhaps on the way to the fateful island someone stopped off for fis-n-chips and got a side of onion rings? The food was either to posh or hurried in this book to have any of the members of the party eat them otherwise!
