I really like a guy from my young adults group at church and the thing is we click so well. Like we have so much in common and I hoped that maybe he would eventually like me back but 2 days ago he asked me for advice on another girl from our group and I told him if he wanted to pursue her he should. So he asked her out and I'm so bummed about this. Idk what to do. What do you do? Do I wait. Do I move on and focus on other things. Am I still allowed to like him. Is there hope

🙅🏾that's my reaction to you dating him. best case scenario, he's oblivious and didn't realize you liked him. worst case, he's playing you and ain't nobody got time for that. as cliche as it sounds, if you're meant to date, it'll happen. don't wait around for a guy who's taken.

hi, blog world. sorry I've been so bad at blogging. busy busy life. coming up on one year of marriage with this sweet man. life is good. so good.

If we take our new president-elect at his word, that means trouble for me and the people I love. I couldn't sleep last night. Woke up, sobbed with the hubs for a bit, and prayed for our nation. I am scared. I am terrified. I didn't want to get out of bed. Instead, I threw on my favorite shirt, grabbed a venti coffee and took some deep breaths. ////// All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.

Sometimes, I look back at our wedding and think about how wild it was that it took fifteen months and so much money to come together, but I don't regret any part of it. I don't ever want to plan a wedding again, but I'm so happy with how ours turned out.

Do you think it's wrong for a Christian to go to college parties? I go once in a while but I don't drink or smoke. I mostly go just to dance/have a good time with friends, but other Christians that I know tell me I shouldn't be going.

I mean, where's your heart at and what do you hope to accomplish? I'm saying this in love, not judgment. I drink in moderation and love to dance, and I don't think the Lord is against those things. But the Word does say to flee even the appearance of evil, so I think it's worth checking whether you're able to bear good witness while you're out :)

Thanks for your honesty in sharing about your journey with post-marital sex! I'm curious—did you talk about sex much before your wedding? Do you feel that if you had talked/planned more it would have helped ease nerves? I'm trying to navigate this myself

We did! I recommend walking through this with a pastor or premarital counselor just so you're able to have healthy conversations without worrying about stepping into sin :) Also, read Sheet Music! It's a book that describes everything in detail and it's really helpful.
