12. Playing dress up in the change rooms of a big store.

[Swivel looked at the shop his not-really-sister told him about and read the name on the building multiple times, checking to make sure that this was the paint shop she said. Silently confirming to himself that it was indeed the right place he stepped in, and was taken back by all the different colors and finishes were plastered around the store. The large mech behind the counter greeted him as he entered and the minicopter chirped back a reply before wandering around, intimidated on what fun colors would look good on him.]

[ As he walked down an area, he spotted another small mech looking through a datapad. Curious, Swivel wandered up and grabbed one as well. He flipped through the tabs which showed different models and their finishes. Getting flustered at how many options there were, he glanced back at the other mech to see what he was looking at.]

Ya know- that’d look good on ya.

And of course he wasn’t supposed to be in this shop, but curiosity had gotten the better of him when something shiny had caught his attention from outside the windows; Well actually, LOTS of shiny to be perfectly honest. Wheatbee had been drawn in by his curious nature and had completely not continued to follow closely behind Reuse like he had been told to do. Once he was inside, all bets were off because it was something he had never even seen before, let alone could have comprehended the mere idea of what it was that he was now looking at.

His short stature and the fact there were much larger mechs milling about, he had gone largely unnoticed and he wandered wide-opticed at everything. And these there was the rather large, thin screen that was within reach that caught his attention and made him pause; it had more pictures on it and if he touched it, it became interactive.

He more than likely sat there for quite some time just marveling at all of the different things that seem to appear on screen, not really knowing what he was doing and using a gentle touch just in case. Had his attention not been focused on what he was doing, he might have heard what was said, but instead had already touched another part of the screen and what had been there was replaced with something else entirely.

[Noticing the other mech didn't hear (or ignored- the minicopter couldn't tell) what he said, Swivel went back to the pad in his servos. The other mech stayed in his field of vision as he looked through the more vibrant colors on the screen. How many times has he seen a minibot close to his size, anyways?]

[Rocking on his pedes for a moment, Swivel straightened up his backstrut and moved closer to the minibot. He tapped on his shoulder lightly.]

Hey uh- excuse me. Can ah ask ya somethin'?

[He hums.] "Maybe we will just have to invite new people to the refuge… Waste of a good base to just leave it to rot."

[He giggles to himself, popping a treat in his intake before handing another to Juke.]

[Originally the two were just supposed to hang out, but neither anticipated how much time passed. By the time either realized how late it was Swivel wanted nothing more than to recharge. The minicopter rubbed at his optic for the tenth time, his focus fading in and out.]

Hm-? Sorreh- guess m’ systems are tryin’ to shut me down… heh.

[Swivel pressed closer to Juke as he shut off his optics. He just needed to rest them, that’s all.]

[After a moment of silence from him he piped up again.] Are you tired?

"A little, we did kinda wear ourselves out earlier with that game of tag…" [He chuckles.]

"Even if I wasn’t all that tired a quick recharge wouldn’t have killed me, naps are awesome."

[He purrs a bit, laying his helm down with a wuff of his vents.]
