screaming, crying
*michael and tori are living together
one evening in January, on his way home, michael saw a smol black kitten —he loves cats, especially smol ones— and it was all alone, shivering on a bench trying to climb down. Michael helped it down and sat beside the kitten for quite a while, he couldn’t just leave it alone in this freezing weather so he waited in case its mom showed up but no adult feline in sight so he made a decision, he placed both his hands in front of the kitten, as if asking permission to take it home, the kitten walked up, sat on his palms and looked up at him and michael practically melted.
He placed the kitten in his black coat pocket with its head sticking out completely camouflaged with its eyes closed.
Michael reached home and at the sound of the door lock clicking, tori pokes her head out from the kitchen, all smiles. Michael hopped into the kitchen to see what’s up and found tori standing in front of the counter, clearly hiding something behind her and miserably failing at reigning in her excitement, she then moves aside and it’s a kitten, an orange kitten, who let out the softest meow. Michael’s eyes light up and tori has the biggest smile on her face and right then they hear another meow but it’s not the orange kitten this time and that’s when michael brings out his kitten and tori is in absolute shock because did michael just conjure a cat out of nowhere?!
they both start laughing because this is so ridiculous, like what are the odds and then almost in unison they say, “it reminded me of you.”
michael: do you remember what today is?
tori ever so slightly moves her head to look at him with a lingering smile on her face
tori: yes
tori: seven years to when we first met at higgs
michael: what are the odds we found them both today?
tori: 1 in a billion but also 1 in 365
michael: yeah that’s about right
michael: in a way they found each other, just like us.
there is so much sadness in being tori spring
lucas took away so much of tori’s agency, he marked himself as her saviour, she didn’t need saving because of an ulterior motive, he wanted her to be happy so that his ideation of her doesn’t go away, so that someone he “waited” for doesn’t leave him, he was saving her so that he could have her for himself, pathetic loser behaviour.
down bad
i just know that michael tucks tori’s hair behind her ears every time they seem to consume her into a void after she told him why she cut her hair short
michael and tori move in together and michael feels at home for the first time in his life
✨force of nature✨

core purpose for solitaire’s existence was to make tori not hate herself so much but it ended up being the very thing that pushed her to the edge [literally]
if the school had to burn for tori to see light in the abyss she was otherwise drowning in and for michael to realise that “some people aren’t meant for school, that doesn’t mean they aren’t meant for life”, then it was worth it and maybe solitaire wasn’t all for nothing after all
michael is a non-conformist and the only compliance he believes in is the malicious kind
michael taught tori how to make chocolate cake because it’s the best and because it makes sadness not so all-consuming
