Just got home from seeing set it off, sum 41 and simple plan. I am the happiest girl alive right now! Mainly went for SIO, SP and sum 41 was a bonus. I got 2 hugs from Cody, an autographed hat and Cody "knighted" me with said hat 🤠 the selfie pic says it all: giddy, greedy, grin upon my face. 😁

So I did a thing on my phone the other night and this is what it escalated to. I'm a huge AOT/SNK Fan. So I changed my ringtone to the chorus of one of the best openings (Sasageyo) and my fiance suggested I changed my text tone from the Zelda secret sound to something AOT related as well. I suggested just "shinzou wo Sasageyo" he said it was too similar and suggested Levi yelling Kenny. I did so and last night while I was at work I kept forgetting my text tone and I told him that. He proceeded to spam gifs of said scene and I'm dying of laughter and none of my coworkers even really know what anime is let alone Attack on Titan (one does cuz her daughter watches it but she refers to it as "tack a titan") so I'm dying in the office trying not to laugh too loud and they're looking at me like I'm nuts cuz I can't even explain why I'm laughing.

My latest crochet creation, made with love for Secret Santa at my work for one of my favorite residents 💕 a labor of love that I'm surprised I finished so quickly (it took about 16-18 hours total (started at 6:30am on the 14th finished it around 6am on the 15th) with minimal breaks and a 4-5 hour nap and a 1-2 hour Walmart run for brown yarn)

Tl;Dr had a really rough week between work and home and my man surprised me with the best gifts ever.

My fiancé is amazing, it's been one thing after another for the last week. Staying late at work cuz I was so far behind, dealing with HR, working short staffed, paying a hefty vet bill just to find out my cat is just fat (I'm an over worried cat mama so that's my bad) picking up an extra shift only to find out my schedule was changed so I was working 4 12 hour shifts in a row instead of 3 so I worked a 9 hour shift then 4 more 12 hours all understaffed with only two days off before I came back, found out my dad who just got over Covid now has Pneumonia and is on oxygen, found out my grandma's boyfriend (who was almost like a second pap to me) died from complications with covid pneumonia.

Then this brat. This GEM of a man this GEMtleman if you will. Tried to embarrass me at work (and failed cuz I don't get embarrassed by shit like this) and surprised me with a bouquet of roses, and a whole ass gift bag of my favorite types of things (not pictured is the sub, prosciutto wrapped cheese snacks I love, and a Starbucks frappuccino drink cuz I ate/drank them at work)

My work is literally two memes in one. Backstory: I work as a CNA at a long term care facility. They have a second campus in a nearby town (ironically I live in the 'nearby town' yet work at the one across the river in a different state) so my works genius solution to the short staff issues was during the remodel of the one (we'll call it EL for short) take the staff from there since only a few residents were staying during the remodelings to the main campus (well refer to it as SP). So Patrick meme (can't find a gif) "we should take the EL staff and move them somewhere else!" but Make no effort to hire and retain new staff for when it's finished.

Fast forward 6 months: remodel is done at EL. so take the staff from there back. In the last 6 months so many have quit from both campuses, so currently it's robbing Peter to pay Paul with staff. Last night one of our rotation got pulled mid shift to EL. People bouncing between facilities. ETC. My work is a bit surprised that both ends are understaffed and people are getting burnt out leading to more people quitting between having to pick up extra days (we work 12s) work doubles(16 hours total), and trying to get so much done with such little staff.

To "OH GOD THERE IS A MOTH IT MUST DIE" in 0.2 seconds...(ignore our snack mountain we don't have anywhere else to put it other than on the gaming table)

Then she also enlisted her brother Fitz for backup (also ignore my giant yarn stash...tiny 1 bedroom apartment and too much stuff is a problem)

The ceiling is too high for them to actually get it 🤣 so they're just staring at the ceiling and meowing at it trying to convince it to come closer to them

Been playing a lot of the Sims 4 lately and my latest endeavor of a Legacy challenge has been a hell of a ride.

I used the CAS story method of creating a sim until I got a male (I almost always start out with a female wanted to change it up) he's a vampire actor who wants a big happy family. Interesting choice game I'll roll with it seems fun. I named him Everett Parr, moved him into Forgotten Hollow, and started him on his pursuit of acting

He met the Vatore family, became friends with Caleb and a little more with Lilith, but due to a glitching woohoo session in the shower Lilith somehow burned to death (I reset sims and she got bumped outside and somehow even though she has the vampire skill to not burn in the sunlight she died in that way.) Could not find her tombstone anywhere so I chalked it up as game bugs and let it lay. It'd been a while since I had saved and I wasn't reloading. Also for a while Everett and Vlad were enemies and having vampiric duels every time they saw each other that was a thing for a while. (fastest way to gain vampire ranks and I wanted Everett to be able to be out in the sun)

Enter Margret "Maggy" Bradshaw. Another legacy attempt I was using for streaming on twitch (my laptop is too crummy to record or stream and have the game run well so I stopped playing that file and moved a new copy of her to this one) they hit it off and I got the call about an inheritance from a distant relative. Chose the option that resulted in him needing to get married in 7 days. So they ended up getting married.

Moved them to Windenburg shortly after they got married and during inventory cleanup found Lilith's tombstone. Okay might as well bring her back cuz Caleb is Everett's close friend and I'm sure he's mad that he essentially woohood his sister to death. Noticed I could add a ghost as a roommate so I made Lilith their roommate, after Maggy got pregnant with their first kid. (He also spur of the moment adopted a cat named Gunner while she was sleeping one night. Cuz the chaos wasn't high enough already)

Maggy was not happy his vampire ghost ex girlfriend as a roommate that left passive aggressive notes around so I added a shed for Lilith to live in. Lilith kept breaking things in ghost form so I kicked her out, but since her tombstone is on the lot she kept coming back.

I made Everett just gift Lilith's tombstone to Caleb cuz I was sick of her shit. She's your sister deal with it. He had a pregnant wife to deal with.

In comes Shane, their first child. Everett was having trouble finding acting gigs so money was tight, Maggy gave up her shared dream of being an actress to get a more steady job (she was horrible at it and disliked acting anyway so no real loss) so she joined the military. After Shane became a toddler Everett wanted more kids so round 2 of pregnancy is a go! Maggy got frustrated she couldn't do her work tasks while pregnant (why the hell can't sims march while pregnant or work out via jogging or yoga (at least until the last trimester))

With money so low and another kid on the way the lottery rolled around they decide to buy tickets. HAPPY HARVESTFEST they won a million simoleons! So they bought a large house in Brindleton Bay, Caleb still comes around often and Everett's acting career is taking off things are looking up for the Parr Family. Maggy gives birth again. Surprise it's twins! Bowen and Damien are here, good thing Shane is almost a child and almost mastered all of his toddler skills!

Just spent 10 minutes looking for Fitz (one of my cats) check all of his usual hiding spots: the window, the cat carrier, the cat tower, guarding the food and water or the litter box. What I have named Cat-topia (a fort we made of empty boxes that has all their toys incorporated into it) I even rustle the food bag which usually brings him running over even if it's not food time... nothing...his sister Simmons(the better cat) is even helping look. then I look down and see little toe beans reaching out from under the recliner...the last hidey spot I didn't check, I reach my hand down to pet/play and he tries to pull me in with him into the abyss that is under the recliner...and is still actively trying to pull me in by my foot I don't even know how he manages to fit under there with his big chonky boi energy.

Ordered a Levi body pillowcase and body pillow on my birthday (almost 3 weeks ago) the pillow arrived but the pillowcase keeps getting delayed ...mood right now as I keep checking daily...

Dumbass moment of the week for me:

Wears 2 different white shoes to work (one from a 3 year old pair of walmart shoes, one a saucony walking shoe) spends entire 12 hour shift wondering why my left foot hurt worse than usual all night compared to my right foot, the entire 12 hour shift 5:30p-6a

5:30 in the morning rolls around I look down while I'm finishing up documenting stuff and notice two different shoes on my feet...and it all just clicks how much of a dumbass I truly am sometimes

Urge EA to continue sale and/or distribution of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Origin

So sims 2 is the best game and I found out it's not available on origin anymore (I luckily got the ultimate collection during the promotion) and I feel like simmers should have an option to go back to the older games in a legal way (there's really no legal way other than buying disks on ebay that may or may not come with key codes for install, or purchasing origin accounts with it on it which may be a scam) other than those two ways the only other way is pirating and sims 2 is definitely worth the money unlike sims 4.
