Tobias celebrating Midsommar with friends and family. 💙💛
From Musicmaker 2/2018:
Melodies come to Tobias all the time. He collects them mainly at the quietest moments: sitting on the train, waiting at the airport or walking down the street. He sings and plays his ideas into his iPhone voice recorder app or computer and eventually captures enough sound fragments to start working on a new album.
“Very often an idea for a song will come to me when I’m on the playground with my kids. So did the intro riff for Cirice. Usually it’s a melody or, as was the case with Cirice, a riff that I know right away is going to play a certain role in the song.”
Sometimes in order to write a song Tobias deliberately sits down with a guitar on his lap, or takes a seat behind a piano.
“I wrote Deus In Absentia backstage at the Grand Sierra Resort And Casino: a casino in Reno, Nevada with several stages where they do those huge productions with gigantic sets. We played with Ghost in one of the rooms. Frank Sinatra used to have his own little room next to one of the stages. When I was there, there was a piano nearby. I already had the chord progression at the beginning of Deus In Absentia at the time, and while I was fiddling with it, the melodies for the verse and chorus suddenly came to mind. You could say they were inspired by Sinatra; there was something there at the time that resonated with me.”

Papa is funny so I edited this video. I’ve not seen this clips in other videos before so thought it important to have them in their own video.
A wild Tobias appears after sleeping for 18h and waking up only because he fell from the bed when Boel yelled that they needed bread and milk for breakfast.
Picture credits and the caption came from a convo with @forged-in-love lol
Me: having a bad day
*that part in the ghost cover of crucified where Tobias rolls his Rs*
Me: :)
sometimes Mary On A Cross makes me want to burst into tears, it's so damn beautiful.
the emotion. the longing. the passion. the forbidden fruit of religious freedom to run away and get tickled internally. the line "Your beauty never ever scared me." his voice. the chorus goddamn it. and then.. the final "...nothing wrong with that!" (actually that whole final section of the song is...fuck it...the ENTIRE SONG)
Just...fucking... chef's kiss, dude.
Goddamn Tobias can write a fucking song.
Please have a small compilation of Tobias giggling to brighten your Friday!
