❛ call me lazarus , i guess. ❜ comes that rough , disinterested grumble ingrid is so accustomed to hearing. the major’s icy exterior comes as no surprise ― it’s the same as it has always been. though much about krauser his changed , at least one thing remains the same.

years had passed and it seemed like nothing had truly changed, still the same gruff man she’d known back during their SOCOM days. just as tired and old as before.      ❛ i suppose i should have known better than to assume you KIA. you always loved to put up a fight. ❜

INCOMING TRANSMISSION —· CONDOR ONE·

“I know, I know…” Words were spoken softly, almost like a scolded child. It only added on a more work for the woman every time he took matters into his own hands in the midst of missions. “Sometimes, though, it’s really out of my hands.” Time to make weak justifications for himself and his actions. One’s shes surely already heard before. He holds up his first, one by one a digit lifted as the agent spoke, “Weak signals, hacked transmissions, being a bit tied up… I’ve lost a couple phones before. Broken one too.”

Leon glanced Hunnigan’s way, giving her a knowing nod, “I’ll try to be better about dropping that on you on the other end. Promise. I do it again— you can charge me for it.”

higher up’s were already constantly hounding her for updates, their tones laced with aggravation when ingrid brought up the same old excuses. the fact she was always being told to somehow keep him on a tighter leash as if she had that ability.

in the end, leon was going to do what he felt was necessary, there was no convincing him otherwise.      ❛ that seems to always be the case, doesn’t it? ❜

❛ it’s not me who cares, per se. ❜      the same lecture, the same broken record spinning round and round. one day, she’d grow tired of it, weary of having to play babysitter but there was excitement that came along with it. it was truly the only thrill she experienced at times.      ❛ just check in more often, please? that’s all i ask. ❜

also finally watched the death island trailer and i’m giggling knowing hunnigan is there even by voice alone. it was the one thing that bugged me during vendetta, that she wasn’t there at all.
