So I've been considering bringing this account back...
âReally?â She asked, arching an eyebrow, not really believing him. As he went to the fridge she quickly fixed her hair. She stood by the counter smiling up at him. âHey Jeremy.. You okay?â She asked, giving him a small sad look.
He chuckled a bit before he nodded and slid a can across the counter to her before he looked down and focused his eyes on his own. Slay a vampire? Sure. But talk to a girl? Not exactly high on his list of skills. He leaned against the counter, sipping his drink. "Yeah I guess it's weird every time I have to come back to normal teenage things after fighting vampires or running for my life, you know? It's crazy."
i ship this.
April did need comforting, but she pretended to be strong instead. She wanted comforting, but she didnât allow herself to show that she was weak. She didnât allow anyone in. It wasnât something that she enjoyed doing. No matter how much she craved being comforted. As he pulled away she swallowed, nodding. âStudding? Uh.. Yeah that sounds good, i need to study for a history test.â She admitted. As she walked into the kitchen, taking in the familiar feeling.
"Yeah, me too." The truth was that he could care less about the history test - in fact, he hadn't stepped foot in the classroom since Alaric died - he just wanted to keep her here for as long as possible. Keep her safe and out of trouble. He smiled a weak smile and nodded before he headed to the fridge to get them each a soda.
Going to do the dishes and watch Supernatural. I'll be back afterwards.
As theyâre inside she looks around, inhaling.. The scent is all to familiar. It took her back to when they were younger for a moment. She wanted to walk around, touch things, it all felt a bit to unreal. Looking back at Jeremy, she smiled. âI know⊠Elena has a lot going on, and i donât blame her for that. I blame her for getting everyone in town to lie to me.â April simply said with a small shrug. As he tilted her chin up she took a deep breath, and looked into his eyes with her wide ocean blue hues. âI promise iâll stay aware. But i trust Rebekah with my life Jeremy.â She admitted, looking away shamefully. Knowing heâd disagree.
He wanted to comfort her, to kiss hold her, to tell her it was going to be okay, but she truthfully didn't seem to need any of that. She seemed much more stable and sure than he was when he went through the same things. So instead of doing any of that he just nodded at her words and pulled himself away, not voicing his distaste for the vampire she'd mentioned. "Right. We have some normal teenager stuff to do. Do you want to stay over for dinner and study? I'm pretty behind."

Who do you ship me with? Bonus points for a url!
April watched him closely. As her eyes followed his, unsure of why they were looking around. As he began speaking of Rebekah she shook her head. âNo⊠Jeremy donât.. I care about Rebekah, and she is my friend, please donât speak badly of her?â she asks him softly. She holds his hand tightly as she follows closely behind. âI am trying to be careful⊠And they all blame me.. You donât see the way they look at me, like i betrayed them. Like i started this.. They all hate me, i know they do.â
Once they're onto his porch and past the door way, Jeremy closes the door and returns to meet her gaze again. "Elena... she's not in her right mind. She's been different ever since..." Jeremy shook his head, running his fingers through his hair as he let out a sigh. He let his eyes close to allow himself a moment to think before he spoke again. "Matt and I, we're on your side. As for Rebekah, I don't know... But I would never blame you." Jeremy reaches his hand out to tilt her chin up. "Just promise me that no matter what happens you'll stay aware. Maybe you can trust Rebekah but don't trust her too much. Promise me."
April furrowed her eyebrows at his anger, as she realized it wasnât towards her. Shaking her head slightly. âNo.. I donât blame you. Jeremy, you gave me this bracelet so that i would still have my free will. I blame, Elena, Caroline, the Salvatoreâs. And everyone else except you Matt, and Rebekah.â She told him honestly. âThis is my fault the mess i made with everyone is my own fault.â
Jeremy's eyes left hers for a long moment as he searched the surrounding area for anyone who may be able to listen in. "Listen, I know you trust Rebekah but she's not on our side." He looks back down and takes her hand in his gently, pulling on it to lead her towards his house as he continued to speak in a hushed voice. "She's been kind to you, she's told you the truth and I understand if you're thankful for that but she's a killer, April. Just like the rest of them. You have to be careful. And as far as what happened at the school - no one blames you."
As he dropped her wrist she crossed her arms, almost hugging herself. âWell, youâre going to hate me, but i think you deserve the truth. Jeremy, iâm more apart of all this than you think. I undaggered Rebekah⊠I helped her trap some people.. I did what she wanted me to. And i almost died. I know what everyone is.. Who everyone is.â
Jeremy listened and cringed at her words. He was growing angry, but not at April. She was pushed into a situation where no one on earth would be able to know what choices to make. He shook his head, his lips pressed firmly together. "You didn't... You couldn't have known what you were doing. I don't blame you for everything that's happened. If anything it's our fault; Elena's and mine. We should have told you what was going on."
As he spoke April looked away, feeling somewhat ashamed of herself. âJeremy⊠I know what iâm getting into.â She said with a nod. Before sighing. âAnd before you feel the need to protect me, maybe you should know how horrible of a person i really am.â She whispered, now feeling bad. She didnât want to lose Jeremy. Not like she had him, but she didnât want to lose him.
Jeremy finally dropped her wrist, letting his own hand swing down to his side as he furrowed his brow. "Horrible of a person you are? Wh-what do you mean?" He chuckled a bit and titled his head to the side slightly. It had been a while since he'd felt this confused, a little scared even.
As Jeremy shouted April jumped slightly. Gasping as he grasped her wrist. She turned to face him with a small sigh. âJeremy.â She whispered. âI want to be a part of this.. And i wasnât going to leave, but youâre not the first one to tell me to leave.â
Jeremy knew he probably should, but he didn't let go of her he just took a step closer. His voice lowered as he met her eyes with his sad and concerned gaze. "I know I can't tell you what to do... but when I thought I wanted to be a part of this I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I've died six times now. Six. This isn't a game."
