in skam s3 isak falls in love with a guy but only finds out the guy is mentally ill after the guy has already made him the happiest he’s ever been which has isak reevaluating his ignorant yet understandably reluctant stance on MI as his own mother’s MI seemed to be a factor in the dissolution of his family which consequently had him staying away from her bc he couldn’t deal with all that ~stress~ BUT the guy he loves, even, shows him first hand that his prejudice is wrong so isak learns that he fucked up, that the spam of religious texts he gets from his mother are actually displays of affection and he gives her another chance not only by coming out to her which it’s already a sign he wants her involved again but also by attending a christmas concert in the church he was baptized in which isak knows it means the world to her so that was isak saying: i love u mum let’s try again and it’s important to mention that he reunites with even on that same night: PARALLELS! so yeah after nearly 3 seasons spent away from her isak takes his mother back into his life and yeah casual reminder that skam s3 also features the love story between isak and his mum in which both isak’s mum MI and even’s MI play a crucial, irreplaceable, indispensable role as the two love stories are intrinsically interconnected and the two meet in isak’s prejudice against MI in the middle, don’t u love masterful storytelling?
