Just wanted to share a cute lil interaction that happened today. There’s a trans girl in my class who only recently started transitioning publicly, including changing her known name. We did a kahoot today and she put in her new name (“Lily”), and at the end another girl in our class said “sorry, who in this class is Lily?”. Lily put her hand up and the girl just went “oh okay!” and during a lil gap after said “oh by the way, your name is pretty! it suits you :)” and I just think that was very sweet!!

What program do you use for your digital art, and which brush do you use for your lineart? I ask because I use a brush that's very similar looking and its cool seeing someone use a similar brush with a completely different art style.

Hi! It depends on which pieces you’re asking about - as I recently switched from medibang to clip studio paint.

I usually use the caligraphy pen on clip studio (or the marker brush on medibang.) Default settings. If I am feeling particularly wild I will sometimes use a pixel brush.

I see a lot of trans guys with really cool fuckin names, some guy came into my work the other day and his name was like, Moon or something. One of my best friends is named after Bojack Horseman.

My name origin story might just be the saddest thing ever, because I was in maybe 8th grade at the time and my teacher was coming around and she asked me in private, "Hey, do you go by a different name?" And I'm like "Uhhhhhhhh.." (Quick think of another name that's 5 letters and starts with A so you can still use your school email) "..Aaron. Yeah, I go by Aaron."

It stuck for the past 5 years.
