Cheap Melancholy

Long time no post. Apparently this blog is over a year old now. I'm kind of out of the loop now since I've just lost interest. Whenever I get bored and check KRP all their stuff sounds the same and has no substance. The videos have too much gross filter. Lollipop Project appears to be on hiatus. It's sad but I guess that's what happens when you have no music and no money. Can anyone fill me in on Oishii or have they not really done anything major since their first single? I haven't really gotten any real good asks or submissions lately so, what do you all think? Is there any way to save the stagnant and/or low-average quality indie international Idol community? Was it doomed from the start? xox Idolution

i feel like jrcach accuses people with no actual proof or knowledge of them doing so (ie. anon asks) he always just blames people and immediately puts names to those anon messages without any proof or accurateness

I sort of see what you're saying but it's not like a bunch of people haven't accused him of things as well. These things just come full circle.

Hello there, what are your thoughts on the recent Gwiyomi/Kiyomi trend on YouTube? A few idols such as Venus and Micchi have been participating.~

It's cute and all but definitely just a trend. When you get people that only ever cover Japanese instead of Korean things it almost feels like people are just too happy with jumping on a bandwagon.

Miyuki now graduated from KRP! What do u think?

Wow this happened forever ago. I'm so inactive. It's definitely her life to do as she wants and she probably didn't like the way things were going in the project.

Question im having a hard time with my lighting Dx whenever I dance its all dark in the background even though my windows are open Dx. Do you have any lighting tips?

Definitely make sure your windows are not in view of the camera. For some reason bright lights behind you don't translate well into digital cameras so it makes the whole video darker. Bring in some lamps and place them behind the camera aiming them at you.

What do you think are the top 3 things a girl needs to have to become an idol

I'm no genie, there's not some magical list that's the key to success or anything. Though I believe the 3 things that would help you most in any goal or dream would have to be:

Kira!Kira Project have released their introduction videos! What do you think?

I already reviewed their introduction but I realized I forgot to say the background song really started to get annoying after watching so many videos. I felt like it was very loud and in your face compared to the voices in a few. Like it was drowning them out. If you are going to play background music it should definitely be a very low volume as it isn’t your focus point when the people are speaking.

Maybe the reason they haven't been asking is because they don't want more drama.

Thoughts on KRP28's Introduction Videos

I went into it telling myself that I would watch all the way through all of them and I just couldn't. I'm sorry, but I'm not super sorry.

The only real problems were sometimes the colors were really weird where some girl had a bright shiny washed out face and another girl had a purple face. 

The best videos were the ones under 1 minute. I believe they introduced the girl properly, and had the best pacing to not be boring. They should make easy to view playlists of the team's videos.

I'm going to stop spamming the asks answering so I'm leaving some unanswered for now. Also I need to watch KRP28's introductions since I've received multiple asks about them.

Do you think twins can become idols more faster then others. For example twins dancing to only HP songs, do you think they can become idols that fast?

Why did you post this same question to me and jrcach? Spam isn't cool.I don't think twins or not twins has anything to do with someone's potential.

what do you think about net idol groups where not all the members are, how should i say, particularly attractive? i think a lot of people bash them despite their talent in dancing/singing.

People in the internet get too caught up in eye candy. I don't believe you want such superficial people to be your fans anyways. Just ignore the people that should be ignored. Any girl can be beautiful if she finds a style that works for her. The groups still have the opportunity to be real and I commend them for that. Let's grow a culture with more focus on talent and quality than face value.

I kind of wonder why Miyuki joined in the first place... I watched the audition video and they said that it was K-pop too, so I kind of wonder why she applied in the first place if she didn't want to do K-pop? I hope she does work hard in whatever she does though, and I am curious to see if KS can balance out the K-pop and J-pop thing.

I think she may have been contacted directly by them as they were all in KRP they would have known each other. For a while they had audition information up on their tumblr and the K-pop part wasn't as obvious. She may have also thought the K-pop was more optional than it actually is.I'm also curious as to how they will manage that without overworking themselves.

I feel like KireiSuga is trying really hard to set themselves apart from KRP28 but I feel like that they're only going to end up buried in it. Miyuki is a Kira Bubble (despite them saying that members could only be in KireiSuga they allowed her in) and even another member of KRP28 expressed interest in auditioning. What are your thoughts?

They possibly allowed her in that way she would have to choose which group to actually join and graduate from the other. It shouldn't be too hard for them to separate from KRP as many people probably would forget the two members originally being a part of KRP28 thing. I think they're choosing an interesting way of marketing themselves. Whether or not this will be successful for them in the future can only be thought of like Schrodinger's cat for now. Their image is the cat that is simultaneously dead and alive for the moment.
