On this day, 1 July 1943, gay Dutch anti-Nazi resistance fighter Willem Arondeus was executed by occupation forces. His resistance group falsified identity papers for Jewish people, and in March they attacked the Amsterdam registry, destroying thousands of records against which full papers could be checked. The unit was betrayed and most members were arrested. Alongside Willem, 11 others were executed. Before his execution, Willem asked a friend to testify after the war that "homosexuals are not cowards". Animated Subway Maps Compared to Their Actual Geography

Designing a public transit map can be a complicated process, taking months if not years to create a concise layout that can be interpreted quickly for commuters on the go. To make things easier to understand the obvious decision is to use symbolic geography in lieu of real maps so that everything fits in a legible manner. Over at the subreddit r/DataIsBeautiful, Reddit user vinnivinnivinni had thew idea to create an animated comparison of a Berlin subway map compared to its real geography. Okay so just to sum up recent events on the US Right:

• Trump starts a contract with Peter Thiel's Palantir company to create a database of ALL INFORMATION on EVERY LIVING AMERICAN

• Its revealed Stephen Miller and Elon Musk have had a very massive fight, supposedly because Elon Musk is sleeping with Miller's wife

• Trump ousts Elon from the administration, after over five months of being besties. Leaves with Stephen Miller's wife, who he just hired at one of his companies (!?)

• Elon starts saying the Big Beautiful Bill sucks

• A GOP Representative reveals that most of them didnt actually get to read the Big Beautiful Bill, GOP leadership basically made them rubber stamp it and they are pissed to find out it makes them all look horrible. A lot of them are now discussing a shakeup in GOP leadership.

• Trump says Elon has "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (🤮)

• Elon escalates massively, stating that Trump is in the Epstein files and THATS why they havent released them yet

• This comes right as Alex Jones loses a massive chunk of his audience because he's endorsing Trump's Palantir contract, and his fans are basically all very concerned about their privacy. They want a new conspiracy to follow and they just got one

• Trump starts threatening Elon's government contracts

• Ian Miles Cheong calls for Trump to be impeached immediately, and for JD Vance to become President. Elon Musk quote retweets this with "Yes"

• JD Vance was mentored by Peter Thiel

• Steve Bannon takes to Fox calling for the immediate deportation of Musk, and making SpaceX a public company

• Crypto is dropping faster than before

• Musk also called for formation of a Third Party in the U.S. representing the "80% in the center" (Lmao). This has Centrists, establishment Dems, and GOP who are fed up with Trump SALIVATING

• There's a serious chance that they could form exactly such a coalition, which would lead to a massive shakeup in US Politics, its hard to say how exactly itll end up, but I daresay we wont end up with the same Dem/GOP structure we had before

I am going to point out that we know Musk is the kind of guy who accuses people he doesn’t like of being pedophiles (see: Vernon Unsworth, the cave diver who saved those kids in Thailand), so I am going to caution anyone who says “oh, Musk must know something because he was in the government!”, which is a sentiment I’ve seen start to pop up already.

Also, even if Musk did know it was true, that would mean he knew about it and didn’t leak the files or go public about it, stop associating and supporting Trump, or do literally anything else until after their spat started.

Additionally:

Alex Jones has implied it’s suspicious that Trump hasn’t refuted Musk’s allegations, which is fascinating given his previous defense of Trump and that stunt Pam Bondi pulled giving the big Epstein binders to conservative influencers like Tim Pool.

Catturd is calling Jones a sellout for apparently siding with Musk instead of Trump.

Trump accused Elon of only disliking the Big Beautiful Bill because they took out tax breaks for electric vehicles.

This is all happening after a NYT article revealed what we all knew already, which is that Elon is addicted to ketamine (and other drugs) to the point that it’s affected his bladder.

I think that a lot of people don't take censorship seriously because they haven't been affected by it. because I live in Florida, I have not been able to visit pornhub et al without a VPN for years. this is what pornhub looks like to me:

it remains trivial to find and access porn without a VPN, mind you. there are plenty of sketchier sites that are ignoring the law. these laws do not make children safer, they incentivize children to expose themselves to greater harm in search of something totally normal and age-appropriate.

I did not tell my parents that I was being groomed on the internet as a teenager explicitly because I was taught that my sexuality was something to hide. I was punished for looking at porn or even just masturbating. they took my door off the hinges because my stepfather caught me masturbating, he caught me by walking outside and looking through my window.

every step of the way, greater access and control by authority figures was used to harm me. we are now facing the industrialization of this process, the powers that be intend to do this to every single child.

I need you to be more uncomfortable with that than the fact that I was masturbating to pornography when I was 15.
