welcome darling~! my name is Kristyn and am 25+ years old living in est. this blog is a highly selective/mutuals only rp blog for James Barnes mcu based with heavy 616 influences. I have a few verses based solely in 616 if you prefer doing comic over mcu. this blog runs on queue and I very rarely post straight to dash so it might take a while to see a reply back. this simply helps maintain the amount of replies I have in my drafts at any time.

“I owe you an apology Barnes. I have often been too unkind for unjust reasons. I should know now that you are here for us. That you’d never betray us again and what happened…well that happend outside of your control…I guess what I am saying Barnes. I want to wave a flag of truce…between the two of us.”

James glances at Tony over for a moment as he tried to determine if this was all genuine or not. If perhaps he could finally stop feeling like he was constantly walking along eggshells to keep other’s from thinking he was a bad guy. Regret laced through everything he did. Every breath he took. Fighting against people who continued to think he was the monster that Hydra created still though he wasn’t. Having Tony Stark always unkind certainly didn’t help. It strained everyone around them. “T-Thank you, Stark. I accept your flag of truce...” He knows he should let it fall. Not push his luck. But he doesn’t. “What brought this sudden change? Why now?”

    there    was    a    shallow    wheeze    to    his    words    as    he    tried    to    catch    his    breath.    steve    could    be    winded    going    down    to    the    corner    for    a    loaf    of    bread.    beyond    the    fact    of    his    physical    size,    his    health    was    another    major    con    to    his    constant    attack    on    all    the    wrongs    in    this    world.    steve    smiled    under    bucky’s    care.    “what?    you    don’t    think    so?”    a    solid    argument    could    and    has    been    made    that    rogers    was    a    stupid    man,    a    stubborn    man,    but    he    considered    himself    right    all    those    times    too.    shrugging    off    his    friend,    he    shook    his    head    in    denial.    “that’s    the    thing    about    wrong    places,    if    i    chose    them,    there    wouldn’t    be    anything    WRONG    about    ‘em.    and    i    wouldn’t    be    coming    home    with    busted    lips    every    other    sunday.”    steve    winced.    

          “I think ya got the right heart, Steve,” James answers to the question, knowing it was only going to add fire to the argument. Steve’s intentions were always the right one but the reality was the man wasn’t capable of holding up against the men he took on. His hand shifts to dab away some of the blood from the busted lip as he shakes his head. “In a perfect world, there would be no wrong places. Ya wouldn’t have to try and fight bullies every few days because they’re pickin’ on the weak. I believe in what ya want to fight for and I’ll always have your back but... I don’t wanna find ya too late. What if one day you’re in the wrong place and it’s more than a busted lip?”

‘ it can and will get worse than aliens, ’ Alexander warns, but there’s a small quirk of a smile on his lips. they’d be there to meet the next challenge, & any others that come after. Barnes hasn’t seen him in action, & he hopes to avoid that for some time yet. still, it didn’t hurt to be prepared. ‘ there’s a whole galaxy of problems out there, ’ he warns. ‘ still, that’s not why you’re here. did you need something, or should I assume this is a rare social call? ’

A whole galaxy? Did that not fall under aliens? James isn’t sure if he wanted to know more or even ask what kinds of things Alec has experienced that he’d yet to know about. He was sure there was plenty in this world that he still did not know about. So much that very few people knew even existed. “Ya know, making a comment that it’ll get worse than changing subjects isn’t real comforting,” he points out before letting it fall completely. Letting the questions that plagued him fall silent for now as he started to pull up a bag and set it at their eye level. “I came to see if ya could help determine the origins of some relics I found on my last mission.”

im such a man who leans in doorways. relaxes against the counter. drapes across a couch. sprawls over an armchair. my spine isnt straight and by god neither am i.

sooo... work is literally dragging me through the mud right now. we just don’t have enough people to get everything done and so it just has resulted in overtime upon overtime with no end in sight. with that being said, I am around on discord throughout the day. please feel free to reach out to me if we are mutuals. I can do small rp stuff on discord during breaks at work more than I can on tumblr. I love my boy and hopefully I will have the chance to be back here more often sometime soon!

he had better, the blonde thinks to herself even as Bucky lets go & moves to leave. the work he does is dangerous - no question about it - & whatever was calling him away was certainly something worse than a street skirmish. she might not have been around for the worst of the things that had hit New York since the formation of the Avengers, but oh she most certainly had read all about it, & heard all about it from concerned family members each & every time something so much as a PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION had popped up within fifty miles of her crappy apartment building. eventually maybe it really would be aliens or doombots or rogue robot protocols but for now she assumed it was probably something to do with the new Captain America & tying off a few loose ends. she watches him head down the stairwell, giving a wave as he slips through the door, then finally heading back to her apartment. it was going to be a long week. 

          Things had become more of a mix than he really hoped when he had run off to assist Sam and he was sure that some of it had slipped into the news for all to see. It extended past the few days they’d originally hoped or planned for but that didn’t matter more. The exhaustion hitting hard with each step he took up the familiar apartment building. His hand knocking against the door and hoping that perhaps he wasn’t so late that she’d dozed off for the evening. He needed the comfort of having her around. At least he had the forethought to get his injuries patched at the compound before he insisted he was alright enough to leave. Last thing he wanted was more doctor’s surrounding him. Besides, it was probably time to discuss how he’d left. The entire time he was on the mission it was his shining light that helped. Hopeful that perhaps the feelings that he’d felt building were met mutually.

                                                “Jules... I’m home.”
