Rapunzel reached back, as children so often do when having their hair done, and tried to feel around the braid and get some sort of visual on it. She smiled a thanks at Valka, taking her hand, and boarding the dragon. She felt sickly nervous, after all, it’s not everyday you get to experience the sensation of flying.

"Now you sit your wee little self up front, and I'll be behind you, he likes to show off and I want to make sure I have a firm grasp on ya."  Unlike her son, she rode without a saddle, but the fire breather had a warm enough hide to keep a bubble of heat around them, especially once his immense wings began to beat.  "Off we go!"  She gave her dragon a nudge under one of his wings and they took off in a horizontal streak.  She didnt want to scare the poor girl with the vertical moves they knew.
