Saeran Choi - Spy
**A/N hey guys! I think this chapter came out really good so I hope you enjoy! Just a little heads up, because this gets a little confusing. YOU are MC. y/n is a girl who was drafted into Mint Eye, whose life you take over. YOU ARE NOT y/n!
Day 1
You turned and looked at your boyfriend with an unsure look on your face, then looked at the door again. You'd been preparing for this mission for weeks, but now that it was here you were having second thoughts. What if you couldn't do it? What if you messed up? What if you accidentally revealed secret information about Mine Eye?
You'd be taking the life of y/n y/l/n, a local college student with a part time job at a convenience store. She had been drafted into Mint Eye just a few short days ago, so you had a perfect backstory for the inevitable background check.
"You can do this," Saeran said to you while placing his hand beneath your chin. His mint green eyes were shining in the sunlight, with nothing but hope and love visible in them. "I believe in you." He rested his palm on your cheek.
You reached your hand up to hold his as you smiled. He believed in you. That was all you needed to believe in yourself, too. "Thank you."
He kissed your forehead lightly before dropping his hand and stepping away from you. "Well, go on. The RFA awaits."
Day 5
It had been five days - five days - since you saw or spoke to Saeran. It was driving you mad. But you held your composure and stuck to the plan. You knew exactly what was coming.
The bomb.
You knew Saeran wouldn't detonate it, yet it still made you nervous beyond belief. What if something went wrong? You always pushed the thoughts out of your head. So what if it went off? You'd pledged to give your life for Mint Eye, should you need to. You intended to keep that pledge.
You'd found yourself enjoying your conversations with 707. Luciel. Saeyoung Choi. Whatever name he was going by. You knew exactly who he was, what he did to Saeran. You hated him for it. You hated him for putting Saeran through all that pain. But there was no way, no way, you could let it show.
You did not enjoy conversing with him because you had feelings for him. You enjoyed it because you had feelings for someone else. His twin brother. They looked so much alike - at least, when Saeran had his mint green contacts out. And you'd known Saeran before his hair went white. Saeyoung was the spitting image of what Saeran used to look like. It provided you with a sort of comfort.
You had to pretend that you had no idea who the mysterious hacker was. What they didn't know was that you knew him, better than anybody else. You loved him. You cherished him. You would return to him, and finally be closer to achieving Paradise.
You'd give anything to see Saeran again, or hear his voice. You missed him so much. The eleventh day couldn't come quick enough. You'd been sent to plant seeds of doubt in the RFA, make them all begin to doubt each other. When problems began to arise, it became much easier than you thought it would be.
You somehow managed to keep all your secrets. You'd studied y/n immensely, so you were easily able to slip into her shoes and act as her. You wondered what she was doing at Mint Eye, if she knew her identity was being stolen.
You wondered what your Savior was doing. Was she watching you complete your mission? Was she proud of you? Would she reward you upon your return, or - better yet - grace you with her presence? Was she with Saeran, planning what would happen after RFA fell apart?
You knew what Saeran was doing. There was no room to wonder. He was plotting. Plotting Mint Eye's next move, plotting how to get closer to Paradise. But you hoped that somewhere, through all the plotting, you still crossed his mind every now and then.
Day 7
You awoke from your sleep to the sound of glass breaking. Your eyes widened as you shot up in your bed - this was not in the plan. You got up and ran into the living room, grabbing an umbrella to use as a weapon, but lowered it when you saw who broke in.
Saeran.
He ran to you and pushed you against the wall. He put a dull knife to your throat, as to not hurt you but keep up the act for the CCTV cameras. "I couldn't stay away from you," he whispered quietly in your ear. "Don't make a sound. Do not move an inch."
Your heart became aflutter as you looked at him. He broke the rules, he disobeyed the Savior. All because he wanted to see you. You wanted to reach out and hold him, but you knew you couldn't. It would jeopardize the mission. You decided to disobey one of his commands, and you spoke.
"What are you doing here?" you asked him in a hushed whisper.
He glared at you. "I said to be silent. And I told you, I couldn't stay away. Watching you talk every day with him, watching him flirt with my girl. He got everything in life, he's not getting you too."
You were about to hug him, when the front door flew open. You turned to see Saeyoung rushing in, but he froze when he saw Saeran, whose eyes widened.
"Shit!" Saeran said as he stepped away from you. "Why are you here?! I thought I could finally put you in pain!"
You'd never known how Saeran would react upon meeting his brother - though it was never actually planned. You honestly thought he was going to shoot Saeyoung, right then and there.
Saeyoung stood his ground. "You're the hacker, right? Guess you're not completely shameless since you're covering yourself. You'll go to jail for breaking and entering." He looked at you, and noticed the broken window behind you. "Woah! You broke the window! y/n be careful of the glass, if you step on it you'll get hurt." He turned to Saeran. "Why don't you let go of the lady?"
You desperately wanted to cling onto Saeran, beg him not to let you go. You wanted to escape back to Mint Eye with him. But no matter how loyal you were to Saeran, your loyalty to the Savior had to come first.
Saeran glared at him from beneath his bandana. "Even now, all you do is ruin my life."
Saeyoung gave him a confused look. "You know me?"
"You probably don't know. I'm sure you've long forgotten about me."
You desperately wanted to hold him close and never let go. You wanted to touch him. Maybe if you just reached out your hand...
Saeran pulled down his bandana, revealing his face to his twin brother. "I guess now you remember."
"It was you," the older twin said in shock. "It was you who copied my algorithm...! It was you all along!"
You desperately wanted to say something - anything - to Saeran. The problem was, you couldn't blow your cover. You looked at the floor and backed away from the twins as they argued, until finally Saeran left through the window.
Seven immediately ran to you. "y/n, are you okay?"
You tried your hardest to hold yourself together as you said, "I-I'm okay." You weren't, but you couldn't tell Saeyoung that. It would ruin everything.
Day 10
Saeyoung had decided to infultrate Mint Eye, which was definitely not part of the plan. After Saeran's break-in, everything had gone wrong. You were trying your hardest to get things close to the targeted point, but nothing was working. So you decided to do the only thing possible: Go with Saeyoung to Mint Eye, and lead him to all the wrong places.
You looked out the window of Saeyoung's car as you pulled up to Mint Eye's mountain base. Your heart was aflutter with both fear and anticipation of what was to come. Saeyoung didn't need to attend the RFA party the next day, so Mint Eye could do anything with him. All your work was done. You'd gotten the guests' information for the party.
Once the car came to a stop, you got out and walked around to Saeyoung's side.
"You don't need to act brave," Saeyoung said as he put his hand on your shoulder. "I know, this is a scary thing."
You desperately wanted to roll your eyes. Somehow, you managed to stop yourself. You said, "I'm not afraid."
He smiled at you. "You're so brave, y/n." He kissed your cheek, then took you by the hand and led you up to the building.
You honestly thought Saeran would pop out right then, in that moment. You waned to contact him to warn him that Saeyoung was coming, but you couldn't. Your phone was being watched, and Saeyoung never let you out of his sight. It was frustrating.
As soon as you got inside, a door opened. A door opened, and out walked y/n. The real y/n. Your eyes widened and you quickly attempted to pull Saeyoung down another hallway, but unfortunately y/n noticed you.
"MC!" she said excitedly as she looked at you with bright, vibrant mint green eyes. Just like Saeran's. Only some people decided to wear the mint contacts. Perhaps she'd gotten them from Saeran. Had she been talking to him? You hoped the contacts weren't her way of trying to impress him, he was yours. "MC, you're back!"
You desperately hoped that Saeyoung didn't realize she was talking to you. You rushed him down a hallway where, of course, things got worse.
You ended up in the computer room.
You'd been so flustered from running into y/n that you'd forgotten where that hallway led. You inwardly cursed yourself as Saeyoung got to work on the computers.
"y/n, you're a genius," Saeyoung said as he stared at you in awe for a moment. "How did you know where to go? Have you been here before?"
You opened your mouth to answer him, but cut yourself off when you heard y/n's voice.
"I'm telling you, she was here! She went this way!" Footsteps got closer and closer to the room until the door flew open. In the doorway stood y/n and Saeran.
Saeyoung got up and stood in front of you, trying to hide you from Saeran's vision. "Saeran, what happened?"
Saeran gave him an evil look. "Everything is in place. Our work is done. Come on out, MC."
Saeyoung turned and gave you a shocked look as you stepped out from behind him, and walked over to Saeran.
Your boyfriend immediately wrapped his arms around you and held you close to him. "You did excellent, the Savior is proud of you."
"y/n?" Saeyoung asked as a look of hurt crossed his face. You had to admit, you felt a little bad. Everyone in the RFA was nothing but kind to you. But, that was why you left them all an invitation to Paradise.
"My name isn't y/n," you said as you looked at him, then at Saeran. "I'm MC." You put your hand gently on Saeran's cheek and leaned your forehead against his. "I missed you."
Saeran looked at Saeyoung for a moment out of the corner of his eye, then returned his attention to you. He connected his lips to yours in a quick, passionate kiss, before pulling away and looking at Saeyoung again. "Don't tell me you've gone and fallen in love with my girlfriend, Luciel."
Saeyoung slowly fell to his knees as tears streamed down his cheeks. "y/n...MC...whatever the hell your name is. Why did you do this to us? Why would you lead me on?"
"It was never my intent to lead you on." You walked over to him and bent down, kneeling on the ground beside him. You could feel Saeran watching you, glaring daggers at his twin brother. "Now, listen to me very closely. We're going to let you go."
"No, we're not!" Saeran said angrily.
You turned around and glared at him for a moment, then returned your attention to Saeyoung. "Yes, we are. And you're going to go to the RFA party tomorrow. I'm going to tell everyone in the chatroom that I'm not going to the party. And then, at the party, you're going to invite all of the guests to join us all in everlasting Paradise." You stood up again, turning away from him. "y/n, bring him to the Savior. She shall decide what happens to him after his mission."
y/n nodded and walked over to Saeyoung, forcefully grabbing him by his collar and pulling him up to follow her out of the room.
You turned to Saeran. "You wrecked the plan."
"I couldn't stay away," he said as he met your eyes.
"You wrecked the plan."
He sighed. "The Savior approved it. It just created more doubt in the RFA, which was part of the plan. Their faith in V was shaking. They just needed that little push." He took your hands in his. "You did excellent on your mission, MC. Now we can be together forever." He squeezed your hand tightly to reassure you.
"In paradise."
