How long did your Salutations 2 piece take from beginning to completion? What was the inspiration? And as far as pricing goes, how do u come up with a number? (Sorry, Im a struggling artist trying to find my way) hope this question isn't too personal

I worked on it on and off for a few days...It was a self portrait that I tried to keep expressive and experimental, so I let develop in it’s own way as I worked. I never had a “plan” for it, just kept messing with it until I felt comfortable abandoning it. Determining a price really just depends on where you are as an artist, and how strong your clientele is. 3 years ago I would have been lucky to sell that piece for $50, but I just sold it out of a gallery for $450 last week. Just keep working and creating and the value of your art will continue going up gradually! Hope this answers your questions...

Just saw your art on Instagram! Pretty dope. How long does it take to complete a piece? And what determines what you are gonna draw/paint?

Thank you!! It really depends on the piece and how I approach it...I’ve worked on a single painting for weeks and I’ve also completed a painting in 3 hours. I tend to enjoy working in an “alla prima” style, meaning wet on wet, done in one sitting. As far as what I’m painting...it’s always changing, even as I’m working on a piece. I’m easily inspired, so it can take me coming across one great image to kick off a lot of work. But lately I’ve been really inspired by ambiguity in the human form
