lancaster is a well-known name around the world; they're a family that exudes power. for generations, the lancasters have held great wealth and political influence; of course, they would have a few uncanny among their family tree. currently, the most prominent one is tripp lancaster, sebastian's father.
from the day he was born, sebastian had high expectations and pressure thrust upon him. luckily, he ended up taking after his father, and his powers showed themselves when he was still a child. his father had a plan for him to follow in his footsteps, and wouldn't take anything less.
his training started when he was young, and long before he joined vanguardia. using his power and influence, tripp made sure his son was under supervision and training for as long as possible. he was already sixteen when he joined the institute, and heโs excelled every year.ย
truth be told, bash isnโt 100% sure if all of this is something he truly wants or something heโs only doing because itโs whatโs expected of him and because he wants his fatherโs approval. either way, heโs sticking to it.ย

on the outside, he is very self-confident and not rarely considered cocky, but he has some deep-seated self-doubt. very self-critical and always expecting too much out of himself because people expect that too.
very stubborn and very persistent to the point he can get obsessive when he puts something in his mind. he wonโt stop until he achieves his goals, even if he has to kill himself in the process.
he is restless and can be fickle with his interests. maybe it's the reason why his relationships never last. or maybe it's because he's incapable of dealing with his own feelings and ends up pushing people away when things get too serious.
ambivert but most people think heโs 100% an extrovert. he likes to play the part of the popular rich asshole. one of the many languages he can speak fluently is sarcasm.

bash's powers first appeared when he was a child. it was imperceptible at first, a cloudy day becoming sunny when he wanted to play outside. a gentle snowfall a week earlier than it should have happened. his father was the first to notice and wasted no time trying to see how far he could push sebastian.
because of that, he has great control over his powers, though not nearly at full capabilities, and some elements he can control better and for longer than others. thermal manipulation is the one he's best at, but electricity is the one he likes the most.
maddox didnโt have an easy start to his life, and it shows. his mother tried her best, but the woman passed away when maddox was just three and left him with a father who despised the boy due to suspicion he wasnโt his. the young man still has scars ( now faint ) from his fatherโs brand of caring.
with two very average and non-powered parents, no one considered the possibility that the boy could have powers of his own until he was ten. his father was drunk and directing blow after blow to the young boy until the extreme fear and stress triggered something in him.
maddox closed his eyes in a vain attempt to protect himself, only to have them open seconds later and see himself and their two-bedroom apartment surrounded by fire. the sudden eruption destroyed everything around him, including his father.
the incident and its nature didn't go unnoticed by authorities. it was clear then that the child had uncanny abilities and should be sent to vanguardia to be closely monitored ( and trained ). maddox has been at the institution ever since, and not always happy about it.
the minute he stepped into vanguardia, he was unruly and defiant. but there was one professor who was able to get close to the boy. at first, they acted as a mentor, trying to steer maddox in the right direction, but before either of them noticed, they had become a family.
he's a third level now, and still not too happy about being at the institution. the place has always felt more like a prison. at first, it was thought he was able to manipulate fire, but it was soon discovered his true power was power replication, and he had simply replicated his neighborโs power by accident.

maddox is callous and independent. itโs been a journey to teach him that he can trust people and that not everyone is out to hurt him, but itโs still hard for him to let people get too close, too quickly. he isnโt loud or super outgoing, but heโs not shy either.
heโs blunt and doesnโt really measure his words, and can come off as insensitive. sometimes he doesn't mean it, and other times he acts like an asshole. also very impulsive and an "act before you think/jump before you look" kind of guy.
cynic enough to know that the world isnโt sunshine and rainbows, but not enough to be completely hopeless and apathetic. the world sucks, but heโs still going to try to make it a little better. proactive and pragmatic. if something needs to get done, he will just do it.
he harbors a lot of self-loathing and doesnโt care too much about his well-being. all the self-destructive tendencies and walks around with a chip on his shoulder. he is very reactive and has a short temper; it doesn't take much for punches to start rolling.

the user can mimic and replicate the powers of others around oneself. it mimics the psychic energy outputs, genetic structure, or superhuman physiology that enable abilities in other people. the user can even stack several powers together, which may lead to power mixture (powerlisting)
additionally, he can also replicate peopleโs abilities and skills
maddox does not need to physically touch someone to copy their powers and abilities, but he does need to be within a certain range. when he first got his powers, it needed to be very close, but with the tests and training that were forced on him, the distance has extended
when he replicates someoneโs powers, he does get the knowledge of how to use them, but only at the same skill level as the original owner
when he first got his powers he could only hold one power at a time, but now he can hold up to two and is unsure of whatโs the limit there. it does get very tiring when heโs juggling multiple powers, though, and he has a harder time staying in control
he is not able to retain the powers he mimics permanently (at least not at the point he is), and they will fade due to time, distance, and usage
sometimes he will pick up an energy signature and replicate powers and abilities without meaning to, but thatโs usually when heโs too stressed or anxious or just has a lot going on in his mind
