I have a paintbrush but you held all my colours

Wanted to choose us, had to choose me.

Everything in me left but my heart stayed with you.

Our love has become fruitless,

No growth is left.

No matter how hard we loved,

We were not meant to be each other’s last.

Our hearts don't beat in the same rhythm anymore.

Your soul is too naive to understand mine, so you judge it

I had promised to love you forever but I had to learn how to love myself first

It feels heavy to carry all this emptiness

I really had hoped you were a gift, not another lesson.

Something we use to feed each other,

now I only find myself starving
