as usual, an avalanche of words meet the bottleneck of the mind and the ability to express oneself
everything that has been experienced has now left said mind. what else is there?
the character in question has met this person. conversations flow naturally, even though they might be different people. they seem to have a lot in common. is this all it takes nowadays? is having stuff in common the only denominator? or is it sheer curiosity? what are we looking for, as human beings? too many questions.
"What can you tell me about her?", she asks.
"Not much. But I feel like I've known her for a lifetime."
"How does that make you feel?"
"Are you some kind of shrink? I'm just intrigued, that's all."
"What are you going to do about it?"
"I don't know."
I believe in the right people at the right time, but I also know how easily deceived the human mind is. We are all but shells of flesh, in the end. Floating brains in flesh suits, feeling conflicted and getting lost in what if's. Getting drowned in a sea of regret and hope. Makes me sick...
"What can you tell me about her?"
"She has a beautiful voice."
"That's it?"
"I would like to get lost into her mind. I would like to know more. What if I am the consumer of souls?"
"What if you are?"
I've always found consuming someone's mind so erotic. I'm not sure if it's a fake sense of power, as knowledge is power afterall. The more you know about someone, the more you'll be able to persuade them. I hate that.
"I don't know who she is, honestly..."
