Sarcasm drips from his voice as he steps away from the punching bag, catching it to make it stay still.  Working out was always the best way for him to get out frustrations and anger but right now it didn’t feel like it was very effective.  Sure, it helped to keep his body moving and less tense but his mind swirls with said emotions.  

As a scientist first (for now at least), stagnation was the one thing he hated.  While he tried to devote his time between the lab, CRADLE, and being on active duty for the bases it was a hassle when his own research slipped through his fingers.  

This time being an unknown aragami escaping his team once again.

“Oh, really?”

She doesn’t look too convinced at him, and crosses her arms over her chest, leaning on the door frame. From the way he had been punching that poor bag, it seemed he had more issues than whatever he had been working on. She heard the news, about the aragami, she just didn’t know it had bothered him that badly.

“Usually I just go out hunting, clears my mind enough to figure something out, but I guess that’s why we’re different.” Hunting didn’t help everyone, she knew that, but it was a suggestion.

“I heard ‘bout the Aragami, why didn’t you ask me to come help with it? You know I would’ve put down whatever I was doing to give you a hand.” Stubborn fool, if he gives her some dumbass excuse she might actually just punch the bag.

Me forgetting that you can’t really Dark Souls roll off cliffs and Enid dying a bunch of times.

   She tilts her head in amusement as she watches the void-type look after ‘Lola.’  It was a shame when a favorite weapon gets damaged–she had lost count of how many broken swords were in her room at home.  It felt a little silly to have sentimental feelings towards weapons but in a way, it gave her a peace of mind that they were still with her.  

    “I can check at the shelter if there’s any extra spears I can steal.  Usually we have extras stores in the barracks, but no one takes them since we already have a favorite.”  Kaede replies, a soft chuckle after her words.  “We’re almost to the next mistle so we can head back and see if Murasame can fix Lola.”

“If she can’t...well..at least I’ll still hang onto ‘er. Some kind of spear is better then none at all, right?” If Lola couldn’t be fixed, Enid was going to be a little heartbroken, she had the spear since she met Louis, it’d be a shame to lose it now because of her recklessness.

“Thank goodness for that, I need to restock everything anyway. I may have my Gifts but they’re useless without the Ichor to power them...” The one downside of the powerful abilities she decided to inherent; she had to carry a lot of ichor items with her.
