A woman who’d invited himself into his home withouthis say so and has managed to insinuate herself into his day to day life,sticking to him like a sea creature that’s wrapped its limbs around him andrefuses to let go.

Without looking up, Giovanni reaches forward and promptlyshoves her off his desk. She crashes and manages to pull half the knickknacks downwith her.

Even in this it’s a pyrrhic victory at best.

    Burnet adored questions like this. More than that, she loves the interest. In Unova, the scientists amid the hustle and bustle of their big cities had to have their attention fought for before she could get any proper attention for her research. So hearing someone genuinely seeking her insight in her field? Burnet could never help but be excited.

    “What an excellent question!” she exclaims.

    “There’s still a lot we don’t know about other dimensions, just as we’re still studying the connection of pokémon and these means of ‘dimension hopping’. But it’s my experience that pokémon in general seem to have a better chance of slipping between dimensions than we as humans do. In my studies of a dimension we call the InterDream Zone, many pokémon were found to have slipped between the worlds in their sleep. We’ve developed a means of capture that can retrieve them, but as there haven’t been many reports of pokémon sleeping and simply not waking up or vanishing all together, it’s very likely that among the few who slip through, a percentage can return on their own.” 

    Oh dear, I’m rambling. 

    “To answer your question, I don’t know that Ghost types in particular have a higher chance of going between dimensions over others. So far, I haven’t found the data to support that theory. However, their type and ethereal state could certainly play a factor that we haven’t seen yet. It’s certainly something to consider!”

    “Assuming their molecules remain stable enough to fully make the transition and their atoms don’t break down and leave them an unstable mess or have a complete and utter mental break down, there’s nothing to say I’d send them to a specific dimension and not, say, something more in between. The Interdream Zone is still rather uncharted territory, you know.”

    “Hypothetically, of course. Easy-peasy, dear~”
