"Venus, thy eternal sway
All the race of men obey."
Pool in a Harem, Jean-Léon Gérôme, 1876
Tiger Yoni 🐅 (Vishakha/Chitra)
As you’d expect from a Tiger, these people are often: Patrolling, courageous, suspicious, solitary, skeptical, defiant, possessive, indulgent, restful unless provoked, strong ego that is not necessarily on display due to a lack of inherent social interest.
A big theme with rat-yoni nakshatras (magha & purva phalguni) is gaining access. 🐀
Natives with these nakshatra placements often work in careers that allow them access and entry into other people's homes.
For example, the super at an apartment building who would potentially have access to every single apartment, an interior decorator, a plumber, electrician, exterminators, painters, etc.
Depending on house placements and planetary conditions, natives of the rat yoni type may be sexually excited by the idea of sneakily gaining access to one's private home, or even gaining acess to someone else's partner. The allure of the forbidden.
In David Lynch's (magha moon) film Blue Velvet, the character Jeffrey Beaumont, played by Kyle MacLachlan (magha moon), devises a plan to sneak into Isabella Rossellini's (ketu in magha) character's home, and he watches her undress while he hides in the closet.

Mula is ruled by Ketu, the headless body, symbol of detachment and spiritual liberation. People influenced by Ketu often crave practices that strip away illusion and connect them to something beyond ego. Yoga—literally meaning union—fits that craving perfectly.
They’re not usually drawn to yoga for its aesthetic appeal or physical fitness. It’s more like a deep inner urge to return to the root, which is exactly Mula’s symbolism: the bound roots of existence. Yoga, meditation, and breathwork are all ways Mula natives explore the unseen dimensions of reality.

Nakshatra Observation Part 3
Bharani Nakshatra
The Core Vibe that Bharani individuals gives- "The Pressure Cooker"
Physiognomy & Facial Structure
The "Bedroom" Eyelids: I have frequently observed that Bharani natives possess naturally heavy, hooded eyelids. The Bharani gaze is sultry and piercing. They look like they are perpetually seducing someone or assessing a threat. It is a look of deep, primal vitality.
The "Flush" of Vitality: There is often a distinct redness or high color to their complexion. I have noticed they look like they have just finished a workout or stepped out of a sauna. It’s a sign of the high Martian blood flow associated with this star.
The "Diamond" Face Shape: Somatically mirroring the symbol of the Yoni (triangle/womb), I have observed they often have a wide forehead that tapers drastically to a very sharp, defined chin. It gives them a "doll like" but severe appearance.
The Dental Irregularity: The animal symbol is the Elephant, and I have often noticed prominent teeth sometimes a gap in the front teeth or slightly larger incisors that give character to the face. It’s rarely a "perfect" smile, it’s a strong smile.
Somatic & Movement Patterns
The "Weighted" Walk: Unlike the bouncy Ashwini, I have observed that Bharani natives walk as if gravity affects them more than others. They have a heavy, deliberate stomp. They don't skim the surface of the earth they dig into it. It’s a very grounded, sensual gait.
The "Grip" of Restraint: I have noticed they are physically heavy handed. If they touch you, they don't tap they grip. There is a density to their physical affection. They often sit with their arms or legs tightly crossed, physically manifesting the "restraint" (Yama) that rules their nakshatra.
The "Statue" Stillness: While Ashwini fidgets, Bharani can sit terrifyingly still. I have observed them holding a pose for hours without moving, like a guard at a gate. This physical discipline is their way of containing their massive internal energy.
Behavioral & Psychological "Tells"
The "Silent Treatment": I have observed that when angry, they don't scream (like Krittika) or debate (like Ardra) they go completely cold. They withdraw their energy entirely. It is a somatic "death" they inflict on the other person, you suddenly feel like you don't exist to them.
Craving for Extremes: Their sensory inputs need to be maxed out. I have noticed they rarely eat mild food, they want it intensely spicy, sour, or hot. They listen to music at maximum volume. They are trying to feel something through the density of their earthly vessel.
The "Mothering" Dominance: Even the men have a "maternal" heaviness. I have observed they try to control the biological functions of those around them forcing you to eat, forcing you to sleep, checking if you are warm enough. It is an invasive, primal form of caretaking that feels like being smothered and protected simultaneously.
The "Burden" Complex: They often sigh a deep, chest heaving sigh. I have observed this is their physical way of releasing the "burden" they feel they are carrying for everyone else. They wear their responsibilities like a heavy coat and want you to notice it.
Thank you!
i just want to say: i’m taking my time with exploring your post history, often liking things and coming back to them later, but so far everything i’ve read has been some of the best!! a lot of appreciation for you sharing these
this was so incredibly kind of you to say
when someone finds value in these musings about the stars and their stories it warms me to my core
shatabhisha
(specifically, shatabhisha and the egregore)
My main point of reference for this will be “Egregores: The Occult Entities That Watch Over Human Destiny" by Mark Stavish
The word egregore is Greek in origin and is derived from égrégoros, meaning “wakeful” or “watcher.”
It is said of varuna, the presiding deity of shatabhisha that "With his 1000 eyes he see the whole world. The stars are said to be his eyes which watch over the movement of humans."
shatabhisha, with its 1,000 eyes and spies is the cosmic observer of all. varuna himself is the god of cosmic order — punishing those that go out of alignment with it; his agents, those born under his lunar mansion partake in the same role. shatabhisha, symbolized by an enclosed circle is the very binding force that allows a group dynamic to exist and persist
🗝️ From Joscelyn Godwin's "The Golden Thread,"
There is an occult concept of the “egregore,” a term derived from the Greek word for “watcher.” It is used for an immaterial entity that “watches” or presides over some earthly affair or collectivity. The important point is that an egregore is [inflamed] by human belief, ritual, and especially by sacrifice.
Based on these metaphysical premises, Godwin suggests— that for a city, nation, or empire to exist, its devotees must be focused on life in the material world to some degree. (rahu) "When their direction is turned otherworldly (ketu), the cults of family and state, the cults of blood, become weakened and are simply a jumping-off point for the individual instead of an end in themselves."
🗝️ To quote Jean Dubuis,
"All members of a group, a family, a club, a political party, a religion, or even a country, psychically included in the egregore of the organization to which they belong. . . .
Therefore, each individual who is involved in a group receives the influences of the egregores, that is the astral counterpart of the group, in his psyche. This process is unconscious. The resulting drawbacks are, first, some perturbing psychic influences in the majority of cases, and second, a restriction of inner freedom. It is impossible to free oneself from certain egregores. . . .
However, we should free ourselves from all egregores that are not essential. . . . Be cautious . . . mental freedom should not transform us into dropouts or misfits. It should simply open the freedom of the inner path while liberating us from unnecessary obstacles."
🗝️ From Walter Butker's "The Egregore of a school"
"It is increasingly apparent to those outside the group that any member of it is being influenced to some degree by the pressure of the collective thinking of all linked with it, and unless care is taken, the power of independent thought may be reduced.
For many people this is something they actually seek, they may feel inadequate in the everyday world and feel that by being linked in this way, they are protected from what they see as aggressive tendencies from other people. Or again, they may feel inadequate to deal with new ideas and situations and feel that the Group mind will do their thinking for them, and they will not be in danger of wrong thinking."

Victor Hugo appears to be the first author to use the word egregore as part of modern language in La Legende des siecles (The Legend of the Ages) in 1859.
Victor Hugo has shatabhisha moon and venus.
🗝️ from Practical Kabbalah, translated by Piers A. Vaughan
Psychically integrated through ritual initiation or through an intellectual adherence to these currents, the affiliate becomes one of [the egregore's] constitutive cells. He augments the power of the egregore through the qualities or faults which he possesses, and in exchange, the egregore isolates him from the external forces of the physical world, and with the collective force it had previously stored, greatly enhances the feeble means of activity of the man who joins with it.
Instinctively, popular language gives the name of “circle” to an egregore, thus intuitively expressing the idea of a circuit. Between the constitutive cell and the egregore—that is to say, between the affiliate and the group—a sort of inner psychic circulation is thereby established.
the primary symbol of shatabhisha being a circle ⭕️
any interruption in the performance of the ritual will have an equally disruptive effect on the vitality of the egregore. Thus rituals, after a certain period of time, cannot be modified without weakening the egregore, making secrecy all the more critical. Rituals composed of “secret names, words, and formulae . . . to awaken and establish the egregore” are also directed around specific astrological events to coordinate with celestial and cosmic cycles
shatabhisha, 'the veiled star' is innately highly secretive and calculating, associated with nighttime and the black sun
the eyes of varuna are everywhere
essentially, an egregore is the astral counterpart of any group of people, formed and charged by the thoughts and emotions of its collective members — which is in turn is capable of influencing each member individually. I highly recommend reading Mark Stavish's incredibly comprehensive book on egregores if you found the idea interesting. I was mentally connecting the phenomenon with shatabhisha nakshatra during the whole read.
side note: this makes me think of the egregore formed around the school of Vedic astrology... how we are all influencing and being influenced by each other's thoughts in this circle, regardless of whether we come into contact with them via writings or by any other physical means... food for thought ⭕️
The Crufied Venus, 1912, Norman Linday (moon conj. venus in purva bhadrapada)
"The Crucified Venus is an expression of Norman Lindsay's belief that Christianity is a repressive force: clerics and puritans are shown nailing up the goddess of love
It depicts religious figures crucifying the goddess Venus to symbolize Christianity's repression of sensuality, natural desires, beauty, and freedom"
purva bhadrapada is the quintessential nakshatra of defying collective control (which comes in the forms of egregores (more on those in another post), the law, religion or otherwise)
the artist has moon and venus in purva bhadrapada, the lunar mansion associated with transcending the bounds of exotic religion. natives of this nakshatra repeatedly create 'blasphemous' art and are known to subvert religious imagery to make a statement
Interestingly, the original drawing was lost in a fire, but preparatory sketches and reproductions still exists - purva bhadrapada itself relates to the flames of transformation via it's funeral pyre symbolism
"The Crucified Venus" is a pictorial representation of venus in purva bhadrapada if I've ever seen one
Saw your comment under venusworld asked! Agreed, it was underwhelming to read. He’s a insightful astrologer but I see hints of misogyny in his work too
Yeah. I don’t want to come off as some mindless hater or anything, he’s made some very interesting commentary and we’re all just human at the end of the day.
In general I’m not a fan of this new age occult rebranding of gender essentialism and misogyny (amongst other things). I think it’s coming from Crowley’s Thelema doctrine which I am admittedly not an expert on. Claire Nakti is into it as well, though I’d argue her work is generally more woman-centric.
Of course, it’s none of my business to police what these people are believing in outside jyotish. Although I believe having such a narrow mindset towards human behaviour does majorly inhibit depth of astrological interpretation and who it can apply to.
I also feel like it was a little expensive for what I actually gained from it. It felt more like a lengthy article than an entire book, and I could’ve easily bought two physical books with that money. Maybe that is me just being a little bit of a Scrooge though
i honestly agree with a lot of what was said here even though I personally found value in his book
i've gained quite a bit from his free videos/articles so I was quick to purchase it
i feel so bad if anyone feels like they wasted their money on it (especially based on my recommendation naurrr) but after multiple rereads (and some reading b/w the lines) I do feel like I extracted my money's worth
this is not me doubling down or trying to promote his book - I'm just saying that in my very subjective opinion it was a good read, although the consensus of other vedic astrologers in the community is to the contrary, and for very valid reasons - so if you're reading this post now: purchasing discretion is advised !
Hello! I wanted to ask if you recommend the book by Dercio. The snippet you posted about serpent nakshatras looks great but how much bang for the buck is in the book overall?
Hello! Similar to the snippet I shared regarding the serpent yoni type, the book contains an overview of all the the yoni types' tendencies and the mythologies associated with each animal. I found that section of the book to be incredibly insightful and honestly very accurate and congruent with my real life observations.
The rest of the book basically briefly outlines each nakshatra's romantic and sexual compatibility with all 27 nakshatras — although i like to read it for more psychological insights into the nakshatra itself, rather than reading it to gauge compatibility.
If this sounds like something interesting to you I'd say go ahead and purchase it! I'm personally quite fond of his work.

Some questions for some placements
Please, engage only if you're certain you're one of these. You can dm or comment or even reblog if you wish so. Specify which planet you have in respective places. Obviously, you can skip the questions you don't want to answer and only answer your preferred ones.
Some are fun, some are not. I would really appreciate help🤍🤍🤍

2. Do you tend to burn yourself out physically, mentally, psychologically or emotionally and realize it later?
3. Are you generally competitive and/or easily triggered (be honest please, no judgement)?
4. Do you react strongly and negatively when others make assessments about you?

6. Do you like apples? 👁👄👁 and how do you like them apples
Jyeshta big three, atmakaraka, chart ruler or ketu:
What is your general opinion on Anuradha natives (big three, ketu, atmakaraka or chart ruler)? Do you like them or get along with them? Do they annoy you? Do you respect them and how much?
That's it lol. Enjoy your day xoxo
Purva Phalguni big three:
1. Can you compare your experience with Bhrani natives (big three) with your experience with Purva Ashadha natives (big three)? Which one do you get along with more in general (or you can compare them withoit choosing a preference)?
2. What's your relationship like with induldgence and enjoyment? Does it ever turn unhealthy?
Uttara Phalguni big three:
1. This question also applies to people who have any planet that's in 2nd house in Uttara Phalguni or Ketu in this nakshatra: do you love citruses? 😄
2. How do balance personal morals with relationships (not only romantic)? Do you feel like you have to compromise your integrity?
3. Do most, if not all of the people in your family and/or among close friends have enemy yonis of your big three nakshatras in their big three?
Virgo or Scorpio in big three or as Ketu, in D1 or D9:

Been noticing sidereal pisces having gambling addictions. Especially Uttara Bhadrapada being connected to high-stakes gambling like the underground Poker world.
wow, this really resonated... my ex with a pisces stellium & ubp sun conj rahu literally had (has?) a gambling addiction
and my grandfather who is a sidereal pisces moon (either ubp or p. bp) ran a gambling club in the 70s & 80s and was in that environment for a large majority of his life. he gambled away a considerable amount of his wealth too
interesting how upb deity is the serpent of the deep waters who guards treasures, literally the deity of 'underground fortunes'
and pisces being the natural 12th house of the zodiac (the house of losses and drainage)
I remember when venus and rahu were transiting pisces last year i played roulette for the first time hehh
i never connected pisces with gambling but i see it so clearly now
shatabhisha
shatabhisha natives are highly prominent in their arenas and often unconsciously set the 'rules,' standards & framework for their respective fields
johann sebastian bach, shatabhisha moon, is arguably the most prominent composer of the baroque era of classical musical, his name and works often overshadowing those of his contemporaries'
shatabhisha is deeply entwined with the notion of boundaries — a symbol of shatabhisha is an enclosed circle and the planetary ruler of shatabhisha is rahu, who is associated with labelling, defining (thereby limiting) and categorization. the innovation, genius & creativity of shatabhisha is often sparked by self-imposed limitations and rigid guidelines. this is perfectly encapsulated by john m. reese in his essay 'Concepts of the Composition Style of J.S. Bach'
"Bach is legendary for his mastery of counterpoint, particularly in late works such as the Musical Offering and the Art of the Fugue. When I try to explain to musical novices the challenge Bach faced in writing some of these works, I use the analogy of writing an essay of 500 words or more, where the entire essay forms a palindrome (reading the same from front to back), where you are not allowed to use the letter "e", where all the syntax is correct, and where, finally, the end result makes perfect sense.
Bach performed similar feats in writing fugues that were invertable in their entirety (e.g., could be played upside-down), canons woven around an existing melody in which the answering voice is augmented and transposed to a different key, and canons on an existing melody in which the answer is inverted, and which was also playable with the entire canon inverted. It boggles the mind that such sophisticated thought, rivaling that required of computer scientists, was being done in the early eighteenth century"
(shatabhisha relating to technology and all forms of technological advancements)
ultimately, this is a fascinating nakshatra with seemingly infinite creative potential and the ability to find inspiration in the most mundane. with a highly observant disposition and a keen eye, these natives see the world through a lens of synchronicities and patterns. shatabhisha is of the infinite, vast, all-pervading ether element & these natives' works and influence penetrate and permeate through the ages ϟ
nearly a year ago i was sooo into counterpoint ... baroque music was tea, i have to revisit it now
