The past few days have been absolutely crazy, and I’ve barely had any time to play. But honestly, that’s exactly why I decided to treat myself a little (which is kind of a milestone for me, actually) and bought the Sphene set. ;w;

It looks amazing on Kirsten, and to make things even better, Liefhun joined in too. I genuinely think these pieces are going to make for some incredible glamours!

~ A Very Important Dawntrail Argument ~ Souma Ueno & Yoko Sakuya

So… Souma and Yoko finally started Dawntrail. And right at the quest where you have to choose between the Pelupelu and the Hanu Hanu routes… they picked different paths and couldn’t do the first quests together.

Entirely Yoko’s fault, by the way. She picked the Hanu Hanu route without even asking her brother first xD

These screenshots are basically Souma scolding her for it… while Yoko pretends she did absolutely nothing wrong. (>O<)!!

In the end, I couldn’t resist and bought this outfit for Yoko… Dyed like this and paired with the classic Samurai hat, it really reminded me of the bold character designs you’d see in old anime and TV series — especially from the 90s.

So… well, I ended up taking quite a few screenshots of her. I honestly love how it looks on her. Totally worth it (>///<)!!

~ Golden Lights in Ul’dah ~

Yoko and Souma have a very special place in my heart for so many reasons. And hey, it’s not that I love them more than my other 21 characters (yes, I have way too many, but I genuinely can’t help it — FFXIV feels like my second home).

So… I think I’m going to start leveling them again for Evercold.

And maybe I’ll finally sit down and properly write all of their character sheets in English too. I’m Spanish, so sometimes it’s a little hard for me to express myself naturally, but I really love the Tumblr community and all the people I’ve met here.

So here’s to many more years of sharing silly things and living in Etheirys together! ^O^)/

~ Make It Rain Memories ~ Souma Ueno & Yoko Sakuya

The very first event Souma and Yoko ever attended was the Make It Rain Campaign.

We originally wanted to change Souma’s hairstyle to the one that came with the event. I’m sure some of you remember exactly which one it was — and how many people kept asking for it to come back for years afterward.

The funny thing? We never actually gave it to him in the end. He just looked way better with this haircut instead. Don’t you agree?

~ Old Screens, New Memories ~ Souma Ueno & Yoko Sakuya

9 years ago, I posted this pair of characters on Tumblr for the very first time. We created them in secret and leveled them together while being incredibly hyped for the new expansion, Stormblood, where Samurai was introduced for the first time. A lot has changed since then — both for me and for them. (They’re roleplay characters with a pretty extensive story behind them.)

So, to celebrate the memories, I decided to post their very first screenshots alongside some new ones I recreated almost identically, just to show the graphical leap and, in a way, the passage of time too.

Happy Make it Rain Event!

It may sound silly, but I’m always incredibly excited to play seasonal events on the very day they release. Years ago, I would spend almost an entire day taking screenshots and wandering around; nowadays I have less free time, but… I still enjoy them just as much!

It makes me so happy to keep celebrating more years inside this game, and while it’s true that I feel nostalgic about my early days in FFXIV, I also believe there are still countless unforgettable memories waiting to be made.

~ Moonlit Mist Garden ~

I finally finished renovating the garden of Kirsten’s little beach house. I wanted to make use of the Loporit outdoor furniture to give the place a more modern and refreshed look. It’s a bit sad that there aren’t more matching items available, though. ^^u

My goal was to create a refreshing atmosphere for those sunny summer days in The Mist, and honestly, I think the lighting looks absolutely amazing at night. I’m not sure if I fully managed to capture the idea I had in mind, but Kirsten is completely in love with her newly renovated garden.

Thank you, Yoshi-P, for increasing the outdoor furnishing limit! Now it’s finally time to start working on the interior. (>O<)!!

~ Cozy Chocobo Dreams ~

Even though I’ve been buying things for Evangeline’s garden ever since I got her the house, I hadn’t had the time to fully finish it. Luckily, now I can finally say it turned out just how I wanted—and on top of that, I still have some space left to decorate it for Starlight.

It’s been so much fun to relax a bit while decorating her cozy chocobo-inspired home—after all, she’s the daughter of chocobo breeders from Ishgard—and I think… I’m ready to start working on the inside of her house too! Stay tuned ^^)/

After we finished working, we dove straight into renovating the garden… We spent 5 hours on it until it was exactly how we wanted! We’ll be sharing photos of the summer garden very soon.

~ 12 Years Later, Still Rebuilding the Future ~

Yesterday marked 12 years of me playing this game. A number that sounds like such a long time, but one that I’ve truly experienced as nothing more than a fleeting moment. I know I make a post like this every year, but for me it’s a kind of ritual—a way to remind myself to keep moving forward, to accept change and… to rebuild my future.

This year, I’m being tested again, with an unexpected move and a tough road ahead to have a place of my own, but… I’m not afraid! Change can always be for the better if you put in the effort, and as silly as it might sound, the Fanfest and all its announcements about wanting to improve, about continuing to show they haven’t abandoned the game, have given me strength. I don’t know—it’s been like an extra boost of positivity. Yes, we will rebuild the future.

Yesterday I didn’t do any story—I dove headfirst into something that brings me peace and that I had really been craving. Going back to housing! So my image for this personal anniversary will be my gardener glamour outfit, ready to fix and improve anything.

Now I’ll share yesterday’s screenshot session so you can see how the renovations of our GC garden have begun!

Thank you to everyone who is part of this community: those of us who like, reblog, or leave enthusiastic comments about the game and all the things we love. Because yes, life can hit hard, but that doesn’t mean you should stop doing the things you love. Like playing FFXIV!

~ Between Goodbyes and New Beginnings ~

This weekend is definitely one I’ll remember for a lot of reasons. First of all, because it was the last Fan Fest I’ll get to watch from my current home. We have to move… and I’m really going to miss it. For now, we’ll be heading to a temporary place until, with a bit of luck, we'll find somewhere that truly feels like home.

Second, because the expansion is only nine months away—and it’s packed with things that really caught my attention. On top of that, my FFXIV friends and I actually got quite a few things right on our bingo… and there’s still so much left to be revealed!

I wanted to share some photos of how we experienced Fan Fest at home, and just how much we enjoyed watching it together from here. Huge thanks to everyone who works so hard to make all of this possible! Now it’s our turn to keep pushing forward so we can continue enjoying FFXIV no matter where we end up.

Evercold has me excited Again!

After a full day since the announcement of everything that’s coming with Evercold, I’ve finally had time to edit these screenshots I took earlier to celebrate the new FFXIV expansion. I love them!

Also, everything they’ve shown feels like a breath of fresh air. In fact, it’s the first time that—even though the story looks great—it’s the part I’m least interested in. The reward system, the new combat system, and the possibility of having something close to an RGB palette for the character creator all came as a real surprise.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun, honestly. Tomorrow I’ll post more stuff and talk about how many things we actually got right on the bingo! xD
