Ban Hammer and cursed prisoner Reader
ok lemme brain storm this for a minute, hmmmmmm, ok i got it! let’s begin this, i’ll probably get this done by at most the end of this class, oh and this is platonic for anyone who didn’t see the request
- It wasn’t your fault, you argued for yourself heavily but the court system wouldn’t have it, you were sentenced to the Banlands, a place where many entered but few ever made it out, the only person to leave easily was the warden himself, someone every demon knew, you would be an idiot to not recognize the almost 7 foot demigod that created the prison you were sent to
- The first time you came face to face with the notorious Ban Hammer was when you first arrived, you were terrified, he smiling giant you were face to face with was looming over you wielding his enormous hammer that gave him his name, you tried one last time to proclaim it wasn’t your fault but he just grumbled that he heard it a thousand times as you were ushered to your cell
- Days continued, though it was hard to tell the time with the environment the Banlands were built in, one day as you mindlessly stared at one of the cells of your wall you heard snarls and growls approaching, snapping out of your daydream you approached the bars of your cell and saw saw what looked like a demon, black and pink with shackles around its wrists, connected to a chain that was being held by the warden
- He attached the chain to some pillar and then stepped back and just watched as the strange demon ran around snarling and gurgling, mustering up enough confidence you asked what he was doing and who the demon was, he looked a bit surprised by your question before answering it
- He explained that Void Star spawned with a cursed gear, she’s non sentient, basically a wild animal, so shes locked up here for the protection of herself and for others, and he just lets her run around and release energy every few days since it makes her more mellow the rest of the time, you sighed out that you were in a similar situation, he quirked an eyebrow in questioning so you explained that your gear was also cursed, not as badly as hers but anyone who wields it it controls them and forces them to hurt someone, when you first spawned the spawn attendant that picked it up was the first to discover the effects when they used it on you, from there you never summoned it terrified of hurting others, but when someone attempted to mug you you in a panic summoned it but before you could do anything it was too late, the curse made you slit the other demons throat, you pleaded you were innocent, you couldn’t control it, but it didn’t matter you were sentenced to the Banlands
- He had a look you couldn’t quite place but it seemed almost sympathetic, he then said he had to return Void Star to her cell and so you bid him farewell, if at dinner than night you noticed your bread was far fresher than usual, you didn’t say anything
- A few days after that you awoke from a nap to an odd thwacking sound, once again going to the bars you saw nearby Ban Hammer playing golf, you didn’t take him as a golf guy but it was entertaining, especially when he’d make sorta cheesy dedications for his mom before putting the ball, at one impressive swing you gave a small cheer and a few claps, he perked up at the praise and turned and looked a bit surprised to see it was you again
- From there you two began talking, you praising his golf skills turning to random chatter, eventually he left again but soon enough maybe a day or two later he came back to just chat with you, the cycle continued of you two just chatting when he had some free time, you wished he would let you free but you understood why he didn’t, after a few weeks he did make you promise not to run before letting you go on a walk with him around the Banlands
- One of the times you were chatting you mentioned you enjoyed music, specifically creating music, he boasted about his skills on the electric guitar before the conversation shifted to something else, however when you woke up the next morning you found that a acoustic guitar had been put in your cell, you smiled at the thoughtfulness and from then on in late hours of the night soft melodies could be heard echoing around the prison
- One day, a few months after you arrived a random guard appeared at your cell, you looked at them inquisitively and they said that your case had been reassessed and you were free to go, you were so happy, you never thought you’d be free again, but it didn’t make sense, the judges didn’t seem like they would have changed their minds, even with how much you pleaded, the guard must have noticed your confused face because they spoke up, saying that you owe a lot to the warden
- You felt a smile appear on your face as you walked with the guard, taking the guitar with you, thanks to Ban Hammer you got your freedom back, if a few nights later he received a letter inviting him to hang out, well, no one needed to know that
this was definitely more story then it was head canons so hopefully the requester likes it! i thought it was a cool idea but im also tired as shit so i’m going to nap now lmao
