Okay so, it’s still a work in progress, but here are some concrete details and concepts:
Izumi (Izuku) is a trans-woman priestess of a small shrine in the mountains, off the beaten path.
Shoukori (Shouto) is a genderfluid kitsune who prefers a feminine appearance. She, along with her siblings, has attached herself to the shrine, and has formed a contract with Izumi.
Touya is a kitsune as well. His health is constantly in question due to the cursed burns that cover the majority of the top half of his body and face. As a result, the afflicted areas are covered in bandages.
Natsuo is human, but with a few perks. He heals faster, is abnormally strong, and ages slightly slower than most humans. He’s in his mid-seventies, but his body looks about thirty years younger.
Fuyumi is a ten foot tall yuki-onna who hibernates mostly during the summer months. During the winter months, she preys on bandits and leads lost children back to their homes.
Rei was a powerful kitsune who got trapped by Enji and forced into a marriage to control her. She eventually wasted away, locked in her rooms, but not before she gave five of her tails to Touya, and the remaining four to Shoukori.
Enji was a human blessed with the ability to wield sun fire. During the day, his fire at its most powerful. At night, its power was significantly lesser, and what power it did have changed with the phases of the moon. With it, he gained property and power, and eventually he became a lord over a good area of land and villages. However, he was still a minor lord, and there were other more powerful than he. His ambitions and lust for power burned bright. So, he captured a kitsune, and trapped her with a marriage, so she could bear him powerful children to fight for him, and further his own ambitions.
Following their mother’s final transfer of her power and subsequent death, the four children bided their time to usurp their tyrannical father.
It was over in a single night. In the quiet of the night, Natsuo lead a group of soldiers loyal to him and his siblings, and dealt with the estate’s guards. He then replaced the now dead guards with his own men, so as to not arrouse an alarm. Fuyumi quietly evacuated servants, to make sure no one came to Enji’s aid. Finally, Touya and Shoukori fought Enji.
Even though he was significantly weakened at night, he still fought ferociously. However, eventually, he was slain, but not before both Shoukori and Touya were burned by his sun flames. The burns came with a curse: they would heal at night, but would reopen and worsen during the day.
I will explain the rules and more of the lore later.
