I am very passionate to share with you these new conceptual family rings called ‘’ Rumah Gadang’’ inspired by these impressive traditional houses based on the province of west Sumatra, Indonesia.
It feels deeply vibrant to me to be able to learn and get inspired from the traditions of my country of heritage.
Learn more about the culture around these historical houses here: http://www.topindonesiaholidays.com/blog/?p=1522
These rings are symbols of empowerment, family, women strength and admiration for ancient traditions.

Muklis and Ketut Siba.
Muklis (left) used to be a street singer in Java until someone asked him if he wanted to come to Bali to work in a small restaurant. As it sounded like a better opportunity he took the chance and flied to Bali until he realized that someone else had already filled the job without being informed. He felt lost until someone asked him if he would like to work as rubbing stones. He had no choice but to accept it, even though with a miserable salary. As time went on, he started to enjoy and felt that he was good for the job so it was with determination and hard work that he finally was able to work independently.
I am glad to be able to help on sustaining his business as well as he is sustaining mine.
Ketut Siba (right) has been a silver and gold jeweler for years. He has done amazing pieces for a lot of Balinese and foreign people from all over the world. He is also a Barong dance and Wayang ( Balinese shadow puppet) performer. Although he has worked with international people, he hasn’t changed his way of living, always keeping his Balinese traditions and his family at the center which is to me an amazing exemple of integrity.
Ketut is happy to challenge himself by creating new ideas with me as much as I am happy to learn from his hand skills and work ethics.
