𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃 this day since the god’s mother had informed them , of course odin had neglected to do so . they had known wars born of such meetings , the realm should be thankful that loki had taken it upon themselves ( rather had it thrust upon them ) in place of the more favourable bumbling prince .

loki would not look upon the realm with as much awe as its guests , and they pay the vision no mind when awaiting horses are neared . ❝ there shall be a feast in honour of this meeting , but my father should like to welcome you in person first . ❞ a hand loosely gestures to the patient creatures , saddled and stood quietly watching the rolling waves beneath the bridge at their feet . the crowd attempts to close in on them , small children desperate to be the first to steal a glance of asgard’s visitor ; tales of her ilk had been spoon fed to frightened souls each night , stories of such creatures defeated by asgard’s great armies never to be seen again . wide eyes look upon her with awe and bewilderment , for she is nothing like the beasts they have been taught to fear .

SHE GAVE A NOD AT THE PRINCE’S WORDS . yes , they would have to meet the all father first before anything . heart raced within her chest at the thought . she must calm herself . she shouldn’t be nervous . she had awaiting this day for many moons .

she kindly declined any aid to lift her into the saddle of the mount given to her . a cold hand was soft upon the mare’s neck , fingers gliding over the smooth coat before sliding up the leather of the saddle . her grip was just as gentle --- not a firm hold at all . yet , she was lifted almost weightlessly into the saddle ; pale tresses and light fabrics being lifted upon a breeze . the wind often helped her . it was the only aid she really received from her father ; njord , god of the wind and sea .

she settled in , lithe fingers loosely holding on to the reins . her gaze fell upon youthful faces of asgardian children . eyes widened but she gave a warm smile and kind wave of wiggling fingers , snowflakes dancing off the tips , to the children .
