Imagine you woke up one morning, finding yourself in a first-class cabin on a train, not knowing where you're going
Then the hospitality attendants came along to serve you with delicacies of food, they asked you then : What would you like to have for your meals?
Would you make the order..?
The first thing you would think of has to be : Where am I going !!?
You wouldn't take delight in whatever food you might have, and you would't find real joy unless you knew the destination of this train and how you got to be on it
And contrarily, if you were in a cabin in the worst class, poor, but you did know the destination, you'd be at heartsease, tranquility and your conscience would be clear, even if they didn't give you any food
Islam is the religion of 'knowing' : Allah (God) as He Himself says about Himself and knowing how to approach Him the way He approves, which will produce answers to the rest of big questions, like :
Why am I here? How did I come here? What am I supposed to do? (i.e: What's the meaning of life?) How should I go about making my life validly meaningful? Where is the final destination going to be?
So real happiness could not be found without it.. Islam doesn't only tell one how to go about this worldly life, since it is from Allah, it is all-holistic, it also tells one what to do in order to be safe in the rest of the scene, in the Hereafter
The sound-minded person wouldn't risk his Hereafter, as there's Judgment to come after death, and then either Hellfire or Heaven..
The Islamic statement itself is the attestation that it is from Allah (God)
it's the indication and it's the indicator, in other words, it proves itself
this is what makes Islam unique, proofs of its validity and authenticity are folded within
and since it is established by sound proofs, the sound-minded won't risk his Hereafter, as there's Judgement and Hellfire and Heaven after death
Allah has set all beings on "religiousness", and Islam is the religion of truth and innateness, it is what makes life meaningful, instead of just being an automatic, materialistic procedure, like a machine, eat, drink and then die thinking it ends there.. created for no purpose or account
Allah has sent prophets [with religion] so humanity firms upright
True religion provides human with main benchmarks that cannot be reached without it, some of the most important ones are :
1- the holistic body of morality, founded on the Creator's knowledge of the human true nature, noone other than Him knows what's within the depth of souls
2- meeting the innate demand of religiousness, by legislation from God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, and whereupon, this comprehensive legislation is based on God's absolute acquaintance and must be genuine and not corrupted
this covers the need for deification and worship, and the need for a comprehensive and holistic lifestyle, in light of what the Creator defines, not according to people's whims
3- satisfaction, tranquility and assurance of the soul, and appeasing the cognitive aspiring to what's needed from the metaphysical world, due to finally getting to know the dos-don'ts regulations, similar to the catalog and instruction manual of a machine designed by an engineer, similarly, the divine revelation is the human catalog and instruction manual
since Allah is the creator, He is the one to reveal the way of guidance
4- understanding life according to supreme fundamentals, not to merely live without meaning.
