Ok so here are my thoughts on week 1 of DWTS: First up are the couples that I hated and then the 3 that I voted for that got eliminated very early on. Second will be the ones that I ACTUALLY like.
Hilaria and Gleb: The story that she gave about her breaking her hip and having to quit dance completely after her injury got me like ok she can be someone I can kinda get behind. (Key word kinda). And then the dance they gave to introduce themselves was eh. But with her skin tone green does NOT look good on her.
In week 2 I thought ok about the dance they were doing but then their score was pretty good and I was like ok there's no way she getting booted/eliminated off that stage like there's no way. And purple is an ok color on her.
In week 3 It got me thinking like this dance and whatever their score is will surely get her booted off so fast but nope my hopes were shot down fast.
In week 4 I was like ok she's gonna do a dance that has something to do with Star Wars in it and then i saw the color she was wearing and I mean it looked ok on her but I think with tonight's dance it looked like it to me that she over did it with her moves. BUT I was happy that she got booted/eliminated though.
Baron and Britt: So when he said he was a former NBA player I was like ok maybe they'll put in or incorporate some moves that he used while he was in the NBA or have a slight nod to the NBA in one dance but I thought their week 1 dance was pretty good.
Week 2 I did not expect them to be as good as they were but they really came through and helped each other this week and that got them the votes that they needed to make it to week 3.
Week 3 after everyone did there performances i was shocked that he got eliminated and he was one of the couples that I had voted for to stay for at least one more week but after it was his name that was announced he seemed the type of person that no matter how long he was there he was gonna make the most of his time on the show and he did.
Corey and Jenna: When Corey had said that him and one of the hosts Alfonso were friends and have performed together before like when he said that it literally blew my mind. And then the outfit that they wore for their week 1 dance I thought damn he's however old and he STILL be doing his Michael Jackson moves and he STILL got it just showed me that he could do it and be a good performer. And they were also one of the other couples that I voted for.
Week 2 they were in Black together and Jenna had showed him choreo for this dance they were doing and in my head I thought they did good but my honest opinion i thought he had maybe like week 3 in him and then after week 3 he was gonna be done but nope. I got humbled real quick him and Jenna got eliminated in week 2 during the double elimination along with the NBA player and Britt and I was like well...this is some bull shit but that meant I could pour my heart and soul into the other people that were on the show that I liked.
Lauren and Brandon: When she had mentioned her grandmother and how one of the dances they were doing was for her like that got me in my feels and I thought that was so sweet of them. But Lauren being a fellow 5H member just showed not only can she sing but she can dance as well and I thought she brought a very unique piece to DWTS. Her week 2 dance was spot on.
Week 2 though she was in purple which i thought looked fantastic on her and I thought about their dance and I thought they did good which the judges said so themselves and how she brought the flavor to the dance floor and then of course some moved for her to work on but other than that I was so happy they were getting to continue on in the show.
Week 3 when TikTok night rolled around and then i saw that she was in yellow and Brandon looked like a construction worker i thought their dance to her bands song Work From Home was like THE perfect song for them and what they were trying to accomplish with their dance and I was rooting for this bitch so hard ya'll like for real. And then Alfonso and Julieanne started naming who was safe to come into next week and then the bottom 2 and then when they had announced that LAUREN and BRANDON was the couple to be eliminated i don't know if it was just me or what but I heard the crowd in the room GASP I heard an audible gasp which had shocked me because I thought she did so good and I called that her elimination was bull shit which it was but then this BITCH is the reason why I want to emulate her vibe SO FUCKING BADLY!
When she went to go see Alfonso and Julieanne and they asked her how she felt all she said was the work everyone was feeling about her and her partner being booted off...PISSED! And I was like as you should PERIODT! and then she went on to say how she really enjoyed her very short time on the show and then she praised her partner for teaching her and giving her advise on certain moves to fix them like she was the most grateful person that had a graceful but one thought for everyone reaction like I wish she had more time cause she was up there with my faves.
Jen and Jan: Ok so week 1 I was like aw hell nah but then she went on to say how she recently had a baby so I gave her some grace but I just knew I didn't like her periodt!
Week 2 I was like i hope they get eliminated but nope they didn't and I just didn't like their performance at all.
Week 3 my thoughts are the same for week 2 I just didn't like the vibe from them at all.
Week 4 eh there dance was ok but the only things that I liked about it was that Jan was blue for the genie and then Jen wore the color teal to represent Jasmine from Aladin and that was it.
Whitney and Mark: Now she went on to say I believe it was how she either got on TikTok or discovered the app herself and what not and I just didn't like her vibe during week 1.
Week 2 I thought oh I wonder how many freaking mistakes will she make and if she will get a lower score so she can go home got me humbled real quick but I still didn't like her and green is NOT her color.
Week 3 when they did their dance i was like eh but then when they were announced as one of the couples safe and then Lauren was one of the couples going home she stood next to Danielle Fishell and she started smiling and she was so happy that Lauren got eliminated but Danielle was CLEARLY telling her that right then was not the time to be happy for the elimination like focus girl and honestly Danielle shading her in that moment she rightfully deserved it and if i'm being honest I hope someone does that to her as well. Periodt!
Andy and Emma: In week 1 I thought their introductory dance was pretty good not gonna lie but they were no where near in my list of favorite couples on the show.
Week 2 I thought they did alright and I was for sure thinking they were gonna get sent home but they didn't and that's all thanks to the people who genuinely like them and want them to stay on the show longer.
Week 3 Their dance for TikTok night to me looked all over the place but somehow by the grace of the DWTS gods they made it through and they got to dance for another week.
Week 4 when they were getting to do a dance for the movie Ratatouille I thought ok I can get behind that and then their scores were given and I thought oh no they might be the couples that get sent home. But I secretly hoped that they didn't and they live to dance another week.
Alix and Val: Ok so during week 1 I thought they were an ok pairing but Alix gives off the vibe of popular cheerleader just no one knows it only because she has a sweet exterior.
Week 2 To me i just thought that they didn't bring it at all.
Week 3 During TikTok night I just didn't like her performance or her in general.
Week 4 I thought this dance suited her only because that's the vibe that I think she was giving off peeiodt.
Dylan and Daniella: OK WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS GONNA BE ON THIS SEASON I WAS LIKE HELL YES! When he said that he was a TV content creator I thought ok and I also liked him because he's cute and then he brought up his older brother Zac and his little brother and sister and he was also saying how his little sis helped him practice before he went on the show was like the cutest thing ever! His dance for week 1 was good and...DAMN HE LOOKS GOOD IN BLUE!
Week 2 I thought ok he's gonna bring it and then some and I thought ok he ate and he left no freaking crumbs at all and I was just happy that he was safe and he was also one of the couples that I voted for to he safe.
Week 3 came along and he brought it again and he got a pretty good score I thought and the look on his face when Lauren and Brandon got sent home like he genuinely was sad for them both.
Week 4 LETS GO! He did a dance to life As A HighWay from the movie Cars and he said how he loves that song and I thought about how when that movie came out Rascal Flatts MY FAVE BAND EVER! released that song as part of the sound track for that movie and It brought a smile to my face. And he was apart of the couples on the show that I voted for.
Danielle and Pasha: Week 1 I just loved how they seemed like the same person and how Danielle had said she survived cancer and how this was her year for yes I thought hell yes you go girl you got this and how her family was so excited for her really got me.
Week 2 I thought their dance was awesome.
Week 3 I honestly thought they did alright but they did get the votes that they needed in order to stay so they could dance another week. And I also thought how bad ass she was for shading Whitney after Lauren went home it was like she doesn't know how to act shocked or sad for a pair that's going home or at least fake it on camera like be for real though.
Week 4 When they were representing in their dance the Jungle Book and how whenever she would go see her Grandpa you could literally see the fireworks from Dinsney in his driveway it got me thinking how cool like she probably did a fun day at Disney and then left before the fireworks show started and then when she got to her adorable grand father's house she could get the show FOR FREE right in his driveway like hello? How cool is that! And I do believe that this quick step that they did tonight they did really good. And I also voted for them.
Jordan and Ezra: Week 1 when they were seeing who their partner was and then she came on sight I just knew that their connection was real and that there was no way they were going home anytime soon.
Week 2 I thought they did really good on their performance.
Week 3 I thought about how she said something about anxiety and what not and how she pulled it off at the end I really hoped she knew how many people from the ball room and from all over the world were proud and that they were rooting for her to stay in the competition.
Week 4 The way that they got Tiana I was like this suits her so good and then Ezra came and did his part as the prince he did it so good and the light green from the dress looked so good on her skin tone and I love how short she is kinda like me. And they were a couple that I voted for.
Elaine and Alan: Week 1 when she said that she had to quit dance after she got into a car accident to me was a fact that I didn't know about her but to me sharing that sacred fact on live TV just shows how strong she is and how far she's come to get to where she is today.
Week 2 I thought she did so good in her dance that even the judges thought so.
Week 3 Showed me a different side of her and i'm glad she brought it out and not only is her best friend from The Parent Trap her bestie IRL they're also cousins i believe.
Week 4 She brought it tonight. I'm so proud of her. And I also voted for them as well.
Rylee and Scott: When week 1 rolled around and Scott came through the doors I thought ok this is literally giving off big brother little sister but also bestie vibes and I was here for it.
Week 2 During their dance Scott did with his partner Rylee I thought was pretty good.
Week 3 They took the mistakes from week 2 and brought it in week 3 and THEY LOOK SO GOOD IN BLUE LIKE WORK! (I probably got the outfit colors wrong but oh well).
Week 4 When they got chosen to do a tribute to High School Musical Sharpay and Ryan Bop To The Top i thought hell yeah let's go let me see their version of Sharpay and Ryan Evans. Well they blew me away with that performance tonight and their outfits were SPOT ON like come on now. Oh and to have the one and only Lucas Grabeel aka twin to Ashley Tisdale's Sharpay Evans Ryan Evans sitting in the audience tonight showing his support for them taking on that song just melted my heart and I thought they did so good. While Julieanne was asking them about the performance they both started talking over each other like siblings do and I thought aight word. And they were another couple I voted for.
Robert and Witney: Week 1 when I saw him walk through the doors you could see the excitement in Witney's face and how she has now taken on a challenge that I think could help her win another Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy. And their Jive in week 1 was soo good! And their outfits were too cute and I also loved the tribute that they did towards his dad Steve.
Week 2 The tango that he did was honestly in my opinion so cool and unique I loved that performance personally.
Week 3...LET ME TELL YOU I BOUT HAD A GOD DAMN HEART ATTACK, DIED AND CAME BACK OHHHH! So when i got time for him to do his performance the Salsa to Million Dollar Baby it was all cute and stuff at first and then a little spice was in there and THEN this MOTHER FUCKER decided that he wanted to take off his shirt and do his own version of Magic Mike for a moment like I was shocked out of my skin bro like HE GOT ABS AND HIS HIPS DON'T LIE! Needless to say my mom came back in right as he did that and laughed at me so hard about my reaction to Robert taking off his shirt and now I can't live it down. But I LOVED that performance.
Week 4 When he showed Witney his character in the new Zootopia 2 coming out November 26th 2 days before I turn 26 and it was a Koala ans they named him Robert Furwin I thought was so funny and cute now I can't wait to see that movie and his dance tonight was spot on! I can't wait to see what he does for week 5. And he's of course my top contender to win a Mirror Ball Trophy and he's always the number one person that i vote for like duh!
